AN PROPESIYA (LCHS Batch 2014)

Buckle yourselves up. Well be journeying to the future. Lets enter the time machine and take a peek
of our lives 10 years from now.
Its an ordinary Saturday of February 2024. ROJAN PAUL LLANETA is the current
president of the Philippines, JANE KRHYSZCEHL GUISADIO is the DPWH Secretary, and EMER
JOHN NUEZ is the BIR Secretary. As an accountant, its a rest day for me. So after waking up and
doing my morning routine, I turned the television on to watch the news. Then I saw a familiar face.
Oh right, its BRIX RYAN MOLO, being interviewed for his discovery-the 119th element. During the
break, I smiled when I spotted IRISH MORADA, SUNSHINE MATA and NICA BARRAMEDA, the
top flight attendants of the Cebu Pacific Airlines! With them are JAMES ISAIAH
CORDONIZ and LUIJI ALFUENTE, pilots of the said airlines. Switching to Fashion TV, there
goes NIKKI CORPORAL a runway model, wearing the garments designed by LEIRA JOY
DEJUCOS.
Then the doorbell rang, I hurriedly stood and picked up the newspaper at the door. At the
front page is KAMLA MAY BOLAOS, the worlds renowned astrophysicist, featured for her
discovery of the three new planets in the neighboring galaxy. This picture was taken by the multiawarded photojournalist, ALYSSA JADE PEREZ. Scanning through the paper, I noticed a striking
and radical drawing, drawn by, well, no one else but FROILAN CONMIGO. And by the way, YRHEN
BERNARD BALINIS is the Editor-In-Chief of the paper, the youngest so far in the history of the
Philippine Daily Inquirer. In the sports page, a picture of BENZ CLYDE TOLOSA, player of Los
Angeles Lakers and JAN ALBERT ARAA of Miami Heat is posted with the caption, Who will be
the next MVP of the year?
After reading the paper, I got my laptop, which I purchased from the LOREDAs, owned
by LENNIE LORENZO and PAMELA DADO , number one distributor of MacBooks. I updated my
Anti-Virus, programmed by JED MARCO BASANTA, MERVIN MORALES and CHRISTOPHER
DUMALASA and listened to good music. Then a song by MARIA NINA GEZEL RAESES, known
as Gezel played. Shes going to release her 3rd album this week, under the record label
of DANEKKA TAN. And oh, speaking of good music, I remembered the concert of VERSON
OLICIA tomorrow at 6 pm at the Araneta Coliseum as part of his world tour! Tickets were just
released yesterday and I heard its sold out already. Good thing I was able to avail one. I opened my
FaceBook account and viewed in my Newsfeed are the pictures of Engineers SHIELA MAE
AZOTEA, EDZEL MANILA, JAN XAVIER PEREZ, CARL AGUSTINE ASAYTUNO, and VINCE
RAMZO REVELO together with Architects HAZEL MAE ADOR, RAPHAEL LUNA, MARC JAY
MARCAIDA, NIA SYRIENNE TOLARBA and AUDREY KAE BALONZO, the people behind the
redesigned SM Mall of Asia, which is not only biggest in Asia now, but third largest in the world. As I
scroll down, I noticed an advertisement of BERNADETH ADAMOS Clothes line, which was featured
in a blog of GERALDINE MAE CALLADA, a fashion blogger. With her is VEGA ALMENIANA, who
updates the world about whats hot and whats not. Suddenly my phone beeped, its a message from
a very dear friend, DANICA DENICE EPINO, reminding me about the ribbon cutting of her restaurant

tonight! Its like yesterday when she dreamed of this, now its coming true! Oh, its 9 am already, I
almost forgot, Ill be having a breakfast date with DARREN JAYLO, who lives next door.
As I exited my house, I passed by JETHRO OROBIA, who is having his jogging around the village.
Hes living a simple yet happy life. ELIZA ANN ARENA, a Doctor of Internal Medicine, whos also a
neighbor, waved at me from her terrace.
After a few steps, I did not have to knock at Darrens door since I have a spare key to her house. In
her living room are portraits of the pictures she had taken from different places all around the world.
Shes a travel photographer, working in MARVIN AZUELAs Photography Business. And, several
guitars are proof of her love for music. When she got out of her kitchen, we started to eat our
breakfast. Then she told me that she saw ELVIE DE MESA,GISELLA ANN NEBRES and LANILYN
ESQUIVEL yesterday in a caf. Theyre already licensed accountants who are currently working in
the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas. Then what surprised me more was when she told me, Mae, did you
know that JOEVEN PATRICK CENIZAL is one of the song leaders of Hillsong United Australia?
And ANGELO DELA CRUZis a drummer of the band also! Then she added, I also met LYKA
MORAUDA, LICEL MANRIQUE and NIKKA MARIGONDON yesterday, they are now professors in
the University of the Phiippines, Diliman. I was so glad to hear these updates. After breakfast, I bid
Darren goodbye.
Since I have nothing to do, I decided to have a tour around the city and drove my car. The city is a
very different place now. Buildings and establishments are all around. After a few minutes of driving,
I passed by a stunning structure, very unique and astonishing. Little did I know that it was built by
Engineers JOHN EDGAR AGRIPA, LARA DETERA, MYCAH CASTRO and MARK GERARD
VARGAS, designed by the Architects JUSTINE VERGARA,HARRY SURUIZ and JONATHAN
LAWRENCE TAN. I entered the building and discovered that its a business establishment. As I
came in the lobby, I noticed a placard that says, Business At Its Best Conference, ongoing. I
approached the conference hall and heard a familiar voice speaking, oh, theres MYKA ANGELA
GELIT, one of the most successful businesswomen in the country, delivering a speech about being
productive in a business. And the bachelor, KIM GOLBEQUE who is the Manager of Adidas,
Philippines was also there. Beside him is CARL JOHN PELAEZ, who just started his clothing line a
few weeks ago. And of course, CHIQUE MADRONIO, ALLEN BIANCA DOMINGUEZ and ALYSSA
MAE YUSON, who were noted as the countrys richest businesswomen, are also present. I stayed
for a while to listen, and abruptly noticed MATTHEO BULAWAN, a computer engineer with MECYEL
ENDRANO, a chemical engineer. At the front seats are ZYRA JOY BERMAS, a mechanical
engineer and JULIAN FRANCIS ALAMIL, an electrical engineerwho are business partners of a topranking car company, the Lincoln.
I left the conference at 11 am and felt the grumbling of my stomach. I decided to eat in the restaurant
just a few steps away from the building. While walking, I observed some familiar faces on the other
road, oh, theres JOHN ROYETTE DE LEON, JURY BARCENAS andJILL LAISA DELA TORRE,
pharmacists of Watsons. When I reached the restaurant, I came over JEANETTE
ANTIQUERA, what a small world! She owns the restaurant, home of the best Pasta in town. And
working in her restaurant is KAYE MAUREEN GREGORIO, the best Pasta Chef. I noted two
psychologists seated next to my table, yep, theyre MA. ANGELICA MAE LUMIBAO and LIZA
MARAVILLA. Suddenly, a limousine stopped in front of the restaurant and guess who owns it,

its KHEN CLARK AREVALO! I chanced to have a conversation with him. And just before our
conversation ended, he informed me that he owns an island somewhere in Masbate and he, together
with Engineers CHRISTOPHER SAZON, BRYAN KIM ABORDO and CHRISTIAN LERIDA are
planning to invite all our batch mates for a get-together. I said Thats great! We talked about the
details and told me that most of the details are already set, GEROLYN DEL PILAR, the finalist of
Master Chef Australia, who is now working in JEFFREY MOLLENOs restaurant, volunteered to
cater the event. Also, our engineers, MARY CHRISTINE SAN MIGUEL, DARIUS ARMARIO, JECA
ADORNADO and KEISHA COLEEN DEONA ought to pay for all the travel expenses of our batch
mates. The suggested date is next week. After some time, I realized I have to prepare for tonights
event already, so I excused myself and told him that Ill just help in disseminating the information. I
went out of the restaurant and passed by MARIA THERESA DE GUZMAN, shes awarded as one of
the Top 10 best teachers in the country. Driving my way, the red light came out. While waiting for the
green light, I noticed the driver of the car beside me, its JAN MARC ASAYTUNO, hes already a
seaman. Just after I noticed him, the green light came out so I drove my way to the mall to buy a gift
for Danica.
I noticed a tarpaulin outside the National Book Store, the Philippines most famous
novelist; MONIQUE ASTILLERO will be releasing her 3rd novel next month! While walking, I passed
by a clinic, and printed are the names of JOEV ALVERO and EVA FAYE MONZON,they work
together as dentists of Happy Teeth Clinic. A medical mission is currently on-going in the hall, and
theres WINNIE LORENZO, IVY FERHN NACION and IAN VILLANUEVA at the table, checking-up
patients. I also passed by MARIA MINETTE PAO, a missionary, who committed her life to serve the
Lord. I planned to buy a portrait as a gift for Danicas restaurant. In the gallery, I saw CLARICE
FAYE RONDA, a Marine Engineer who graduated as Cum Laude of MAAP. We had a great time
talking to each other and told her where Ill be going later. She volunteered to come too. So after
picking the most beautiful portrait, we left the mall.
As we arrived in the venue, it was such a cozy and comfy place. I asked her who designed
the restaurant. And I found out that they were JERIE ANNE BORJA, LIANNE MICHAELA
SARZA and HANNAH LEE. And guess who are the chefs of her restaurant, they are BRYAN
COLINA, TRISHA ALGEMAE QUINTANO and KENNETH MAR AGRIPA! Danica introduced to me
her Marketing Manager, MICHELLE ANGELIE NOVENO. And I saw several familiar faces, ARJAY
NUEZ, a mechanical engineer, KRESLEEN IVY CORTEZ,an Electronics Communication Engineer
and JOHN PATRICK GONZALEZ, a civil engineer. Also present are the CPAs, all working as
executives of the Bureau of Internal revenue,KATHLEEN BANDAGOZA, ANGELOU
AGUILAR, JADE ANTHONET CABANGON andGERALDINE TOLEDO. And, the people behind
the Windows 21 are also present-FRANCENE ALBAYTAR, JOB BALBEDINA and LYNDON KYLE
MATA. After the ribbon cutting, its eating time! What a scrumptious dinner! The dinner was about to
end when I noticed people in the next table, more CPAs! Theres IVAN GEOFF SA-ONG, JOAN
RAA, SHAUN SEIGFRIED VEGA, EMMALYN OLITAN and LICHELLE HERNANDEZ.
After the event, I headed home. I noticed a billboard of CHERILYN ALMENIANA,shell be
playing the role of Miss Saigon this year! A must watch. It was such a tiring day. Soon as I arrived
home, I slept like a log.

The next day, I decided to jog around the village. Ive been here for a few months now.
Who would have thought that I have batch mates who live in the same village! Theres
Atty. SHARMILA ABIERA, JOSHUA NOEL ESTIPONA, a Chemical Engineer, KRISTIAN WYATT
HALLARE a Mechanical Engineer and CANDY MARIE ONGONION a Mining Engineer, having their
breakfast in RHEA ANN RAMOS canteen.
Its VERSONS CONCERT! What a large crowd! And as expected, I have batch mates
here, theres KARLO CASTILLO, the owner of Lego Well Company, CHRISTINE NICOLE
HURTADO, owner of the Fashionalo Boutique. And oh, CPAs everywhere, DENNIS
CONCEPCION, MAE
ARENA, PATRICIA
ARMARIO, CHRISTINA
DIZON, DEANNE
MORALDE and CHARMANE MACASINAG. Those who topped the board exam for engineers are
also present, LESTER SILANG, ANGELO LEO BIEN, KIMBERLY ANDES, ROMMEL BUENDIA
SALVADOR MARK BOTIN, ANDY JACOB JADIE and EMIL BILLUDO.And just before the concert
starts, DOROTHY PASANO came, fresh from South Korea. Suddenly, there was a commotion due
to the heavy crowd. I was surprised when I saw who responded. Yup, the nurses of our
batch- JOYCE ANN ESPIRITU, ALMIRA ALA , ELMA ASPE and KRISTIN NUEZ. Finally,
Versons concert started. SHERIDAN RICAFRANCA,the Mellow Princess and MARY ROSE
ARMARIO, who just won Pilipinas Got Talent, also sang during the concert. It was great! They
indeed rocked the house. After the concert and the lights were on, I saw JOVEL LORETO, DANIEL
ACUA, MA. RAFAELA BAJARO andMARLO LABAO, top notchers of the Board Exam for
accountants. And just before I drive my car, I saw SHIEKINA AASCO and had a chance to
converse with her. Shes an owner of a school now, and I found out that JENNIFER
NOBLE, MALOU ALAGAR, SHELLA MAY BASCO, ALYSSA ANN SOLANO and MARLEONIE
BARNUEVO are teaching in her school. And just around the corner are the game masters of the
best selling computer game of all time, ROMNIQUE MONTALES and NIO ALDON .
The week after, the get-together at Khens island came true! Due to the
efforts of ABEGAIL ARIATE, CHRISTEL MAE MENDINA and NO
E DICHOSO, who were already CEOs of their respective companies. The place was structured with
the help of Engr. JOHN ANGELO LOGRONIO and Architect FRANCES FAYE BROJELA. Beautiful
and handsome faces all around, theres Atty. DAVE JOSHUA BELLEZA, whos a missionary and is
continuing to seek Gods will, Atty. JONHTOBIE DULAY, the next president of the Republic of the
Philippines and Atty. NADJA BUCAY, the current DOJ Secretary. The best psychologists were also
present! ABEGAILE ANDES andGIZELLE GAYE MALAGUEO, who are working as social
scientists and are conducting psychological researches. Around the corner are the doctors of the
batch! MARC LENNARD BERMAS, JAY-R LUCEO, JACEL ANN NEPOMUCENO, MAE BEECH
BERNAL, JOSEPH QURONA, ILLONAH MAGTANGOB and GLEN TALLADA. Together, they are
planning to build a hospital bigger and more prestigious than the St. Lukes. Also, theres MARY
MARGARET DUKA, a Crime Scene Investigator of NBI. Accountants? We got more of them!
Theres JOHN MARK ABANES, MARY NATHALIE AJERO and JENNY LOU SOBREDILLA, all
Senior Accountants of their own respective banks. Suddenly DOREEN JOY OXALES, a cadet officer
came in with DONNABEL RAESES, a mangaka, the person behind the most popular cartoon in
Asia. Of course, our Social Workers also came, theresJONNAH MARIE BARCELON and JAMAICA
ARMARIO. ANZEL RAGUERO, a medical technologist and ALAIN PALIZA, the worlds renowned

biologist, also came fresh from a meeting with the UN President for their project. The best Architects
in the world also showed up, CLAUDINE BARBA and GRANTLOZARES. We also have SHANE
GUIRIBA, KISSES
PAMPLONA,
RALFH LODOR , JARES
MIJARES ,
MA.
JESSA
SABALBORO and ANDRIE KIM BAHILLO that unlike others, would just like to enjoy a simple and
happy life together with their families. Oops, did I miss someone? Straight from NAIA, CAMILLE
ALEXANDRA ELIZONDO the newly crowned Miss Universe 2024 did not miss the chance to be in
the intimate get-together.
Everyone was present and everyone enjoyed the night, updating about each ones lives. And well
continue to chase our dreams, to learn from our failures, and to be humble in our success. Indeed, a
very memorable batch.
