The Oregon Department of
Transportation understands the
importance of contributing to

encourages its contractors to
buy tools, supplies and other
project resources from local
businesses in the communities
affected by highway and bridge

Interstate 5:
 The Curtis Creek Bridge southbound repair (milepost 156.5) was completed in February.
Construction of the northbound bridge was completed in May, and the southbound lanes have
returned to their normal two-lane configuration.
 At the Yoncalla-Elkhead Road Bridge (exit 154), northbound I-5 traffic shifted east in May onto the
reconstructed northbound bridge to allow for construction of the median.

Oregon 126:
 Traffic was shifted onto a detour bridge at the Oakhill Bridge where Oregon 126 and KR Neilson
Road intersect, west of Eugene. Crews began demolition of the original bridge in April. Flaggers are
on site as needed to ensure safe traffic flow and help with construction staging. ODOT anticipates
completion of the Oakhill Bridge replacement by May 2011.
