Seeing this you can know what you already have and what you can achieve, like score in IELTS. IELTS
(generic) score of at-least 6 is part of eligibility but one can score more to gain extra points. I will be putting

To get your points for your qualification and experience (skills); one has to get those assessed by the relevant

As DIAC introduces changes to the migration process on 1st July Its suggested to plan such that your process
finishesupbeforeJulyoratleastyourVisaapplicationislodgedbeforeJulythatistosaycompletingtheprocessat
your end before any change is introduced. This is not to say that change will hamper your progress, but one never
knowswhatmightbeintroducedinthenextchanges.

So what to do if you have some time till July but not enough to complete the process on your end. Then
bestwouldbetoclearyourIELTSwithbestscorethatyoucanachieveasIELTSwouldanyhowberequired
points on various bands may differ though. In addition, prepare all your documents till 1st July for
Assessment as per current requirement/criteria (you might want to hold the statutory declaration/letter on
rolesandresponsibilitiestoseeifyouneedtochangeitdependingonchangesinJuly).

Nominated Resident Visa that is valid for 5 years, but
you are under moral binding of the state that sponsor
you that you have to live and work in that particular

After this 5 year duration you can either keep on living in Australia as this Visa will allow you to
continuetoliveinAustraliaevenafter5yearsbutyoucannotreenterafterthisdurationusingthis
Visa. To do that you will be required to apply for RRV (Resident Returning Visa) or Citizenship
dependingonyourchoiceandalsooncriteriagivenbyDIAC.

Format of Statutory declaration for ACSskillassessment:

Format of statutory declaration is not v ery strict, basically its in managers wording describing

y our joining date, designation and mention why this letter was not giv e under HR head (eg.
company policy ) then mention roles and responsibilities point wise-at last comes signs (y ours, y our
managers, notary s) and notary stamps. First page should be stamp paper; so basically first page will
hav e only few lines (as space on stamp paper is less) rest of tex t would come on nex t pages which
would be A4 plain sheets only .
Y ou can get it notarized by any adv ocates sitting near court for creating affidav its and notarization.
Eg: In Delhi, near DC (Janak Puri) or Tis hazari.

providedocumentswhilelodgingvisa(ifinvited)
failing which your application will be rejected and
feesmaynotberefunded!
While submitting EOI you need to mention your Skill Assessment reference number and IELTS TRF number.

189invitationcomesthroughroundsthathappengenerallyon1stand
3rd Monday (0000 hours) of each month, these invites are based on points that you have claimed
applicant with highest points are invited first. And if points are same then in order of effective EOI
submissiondate.Accordingtothetrendanyonewith>=65pointsreceivesEOIinvitationdefinitely.And
ifyouhave60pointsyoumayormaynotreceiveinvitedependingonnumberofinvitesandnumberof
applicantsbutthisisjustwhatsthetrendattimeofwritingthisinformation(2013start).
Ifyouareopting190inyourEOIasAustraliaPRthengenerallyyouneedtofirstsubmityourEOI
thenapplyforrespectiveStateSponsorship(SS)asyoumayneedtofillEOInumberwhilefillingthe
sponsorshipformsothattheyarelinked.Youwouldreceiveautomatic190invitewhenSSisapproved
(thisishow190invitesaredifferentthan189).Youshouldfirstcheckwhichstateyouwanttooptas
theyhavedifferentcriteria/fees/policy/jobmarket.Eachstatehaslistofoccupationcodesthattheyare
opentoEOIinviteataparticulartimeitsimportantthatyouchecktheircurrentlistontheirsite.Also

some state would not invite you if you have opted multiple states to sponsor you. That is why its
essential that you first research that which state will suit you and go for it. Two reason why you might

has more priority. But downside or limitation is that you have a moral binding to live and work in state
thatsponsoredyouforfirst2yearsofyourstayinAustralia.
Bothinviteprocessworksseparatelybutwheninvitefromeither189or190isreceivedthenyouwouldnotreceive
anotherinviteuntilyourfirstinviteexpires(after2months)andyouhavestillnotappliedforVisa.

Ceiling: Also check the ceiling and current invite count for your occupation code that has set for a
certainyearonthisskillselectlink.Generallyreportispopulatedwithabitolddatabutyoucanget
theideaandtheyalsopublishwhichalloccupationcodesceilingisreached.Ifceilinghasreachedthen
invitewillceaseforthisparticularyear(DIACyearisasperAustralianFinancialyear:JulytoJune).This
affectsbot189and190invitations!

Note You are supposed to submit single EOI but there is no where mentioned that do not submit
multiple EOIs. Few people I know have called up DIAC who were stuck with one EOI due to some
complexity,theyconfirmedthatyoucanlodgemultipleEOIsbutbeforedoingthatconfirmwithDIAC
asitmaybeallowedonlyinsomescenariosorotherwiseyoumightriskrejectiononbothEOIs!

EditingyourEOIAustralia
YoucanedityoursubmittedEOIbeforegettinganinviteandeditdetailsbutifyoualterdetailsthat
changeyourpointsthenyoureffectivedateofsubmissionofEOIwould change to date when you
madethesechanges,ifnosuchchangeismadewhichchangedthepointstheneffectivedatewouldbe
equaltoEOIsubmissiondateonly.ThischangeindatemighteffectyouasEOIinvitesisfirstcomefirst
serveifpointsmatches.Soifnumberofapplicantswhosepointsmatch>inviteslefttobesentoutthen
invitesaresentoutonbasisofeffectivedateofsubmissionofEOI.

Validity of EOI Australia

EOIisvalidfor2yearsfromthedateEOIforAustraliawassubmitted.SoyoudonthavetowaitforJulyorany

othermonthasbesttimetosubmityourEOIisassoonasyouareeligibleforitasitwillplaceyouinthequeue
thatsoon.
I can not stress on this more that you HAVE to fill in correct details because if not done so this will get your
visa rejected later when you lodge and fail to produce evidence of claimed points with possibility of no return of

Thisisthestagewhenyouhavereceived EOI invite
so now you have option of 'Apply Visa' on your Skill
Select EOI page. First of all congratulation :)! You
seem to be on top of World good, but come down to
motherearthnow,aswestillhavetodosomerunningto
achievethefinalGoal:p
Before you click on 'Apply Visa' button - here's some
information on what's waiting for you at the other side of
clicking the button to apply visa.
In the process you will get your TRN (ID for visa
process) generated and you will be asked to set a password.
You will go through many screens of filling up your information, similar to what you did in
EOI but this would be on large scale; including information on dependents too.
When above two things are done, as a last step - you would be required to pay the fees
which currently stands at AUD 3060. This can be paid by either Debit or Credit card which
is either of Visa, MC, etc. Also, this can be non-Australian card but should have capability
to do international transactions and off-course it should have that much limit; so
better inquire from your bank if you are not sure about the same.
There will be acknowledgement mail generated and sent to you with subject
like: <File#> <TRN#> <Name> IMMI Acknowledgement of Valid Application
Received.Thismaybereceivedbetween0to10daysafterpayingfees.But,thistiming
is not known to have any effect on processing. Some people have even reported not
have even received this acknowledgement mail, but got their PR normally. This mail
wouldhave2attachmentsAcknowledgementandApplicationSummary.
You would now be able to login to eVisa site through this link using your generated TRN
and the password you set.
If the link given above does not work or you don't see the attached documents or some
other weird stuff happens in eVisa site - just don't worry! There are tech glitches on this
and it will come back to normal after some minutes/hours.
On the opened eVisa page, you are now required to upload all the documents to support
your Visa application; this would include documents to prove you are eligible to apply,
documents to support points you declared in EOI, PCC (police clearance certificate), form
80, form 1221, etc. (Description of the same given below)
Youhavetoapplywithin60daysofreceivinginvite.Thenafterthatyoucanupload
docsyouarerequiredto.YouwillbeallocatedCOwithin5orsoweeksthenhewillask
formissingdocsandgiveyou28daystoprovidethesame.Soyouhave60+5w+28
days to provide pcc and meds from the invite date and 5w + 28 days to provide all
documentsfromDateofVisaLodgement.Alsoevenifingivendaysyouarenotableto
providePCCoranyotherdocsforthatmatteryoucanaskforextensionbyproviding
proofthatyouhaveappliedforthatparticulardocanditstakingtime.Theyprovidethe
extensionnoissuesinthat.

Note that you can upload to eVisa page either Original Color Scans or Certified Photocopy
Of Originals (but certification stamp should also be color scanned). Certified in India
means 'Notarized'; or else where signed and stamped by any person authorized to certify
a photocopy as legit.
Formats that can be used are:.DOC,.DOCX,.DOT,.XLS,.PPT,.RTF,.TXT,.GIF,.JPG,
.BMP,.PDF.
Most preferred format is PDF; use that.
Size limit per file is 5mb; count limit is 60 files.
To keep file size under check is to use 96 dpi for images.
Combine related pages in single PDF file. Like combine passport front and
back in single PDF file.

Also make sure you upload correct document with correct description - there's no option
to edit, delete or even see uploaded document. Once uploaded, you can just see the
name of document.

Organize your health examination This link should be there under each
applicant's name (primary and secondary) once you have lodged your
Visa. You need to click on the link which says 'organize your health
examination' and fill in the forms which have general questions related to your
current and past medical status; once you are done, you can take the print of
referral letter generated to take along with your passport and 4 passport sized
photographs (for each applicant) when going for medical tests to clinic - which
you need to call up listed clinic which your prefer for taking appointment. You
'can' wait to do medical till your CO says so - but its always better to do it

Feb 2013 from eHealth to eMedical - difference between these are

able to see your TRN or not)
Note - eVisa do behave in weird way sometimes - so do not take status change very seriously ;-p.
