Manual Aldi Weather Station.

General description.
Nowadays there at Aldi a special offer of an electronic weather
station in the store.
In itself, of course, very surprising that such a thing in a case
such as Aldi can get, and the price is so surprisingly (low
24.99 eur.) You therefor it also does not have to leave.
The weather station comes in a box complete with Central
Unit, Wireless buitentermometer / hygrometer all the batteries
and attachment timber, and a Dutch guide.
I've Station is now over a week in my possession, and it all
works very satisfactorily. However, I noticed that the
instruction manual is not always entirely clear why this one made by myself, hopefully clearer,
manual:

format display
The main unit of the weather station consists mainly of a large clear LCD display where all relevant
data, which measures the station will be displayed.
The LCD display is divided into several sectors all show a certain part of the information:

Time

Date

moon
phase
weather
forecasting
symbols

air pressure

histogram

sun on

Length v / d
day

sun

indoor
temperature

outside
temperature

Indoor
air humidity

Outdoor
humidity

The Date / Time section.

Top left shows the current time set in Hours / Minutes / Seconds, and date Dagnr /
Month. Further shows and shows with "DST" or the clock on Winter or Summer
Time (Daylight Savings Time) is set to display the name of the weekday (Mon Tue
etc.).
Although when setting the time and date also the Year and the zone must be
specied, they will be here, in normal operation, not shown on the display.

The length of the day.

Top right is displayed in the middle, to read how long the day is on the current date.
Left is the time to (this day) to see the sun rises. Right is the time to (this day) goes
to see the sun.
Caution.
If when setting the date and time is not the right time zone is set, the Sunrise and
Sunset Time is not displayed correctly.
The temperature and humidity section.
Bottom right of the display shows the temperature and relative humidity. Both
measurements are displayed both inside and outside.
In addition to the temperature and air humidity values is also a box with "trend".
Here in is indicated by an upward, as if descending arrow or the corresponding
value on the rise Be it is declining.
Weather forecast, moon phase, barometer and Histogram part.
Bottom left of the display are all, to make a forecast, shown relevant information:
Through, self-explanatory, icons will appear the forecast for the next twelve
hours.
The current moon phase. (Phase of the Moon)
The current air pressure (barometer mode).
A graphical representation of the progress in the last twelve hours
respectively: Barometer mode Indoor temperature and outside temperature.
Note.
If when setting the date and time is not the right time zone is set, the moon phases
are not, or incorrectly displayed.

Operating bodies.
The central unit has the following controls:
1. (Round) Mode select button
2. Search button
3. Snooze / Light button
4. Select button
5. Min / Max button
6. Channel / alarm button
7. + button
8. - button

Take in use
Once the batteries are placed in the main unit and the wireless outdoor sensor, the devices are turned
on. Because the main unit, after switching, automatic connection will search one or more existing
wireless outdoor sensor's is advisable FIRST insert the batteries into the outer tube, and then pass to
the Main Unit.
Central main unit.

Once stopped it starts to initialize itself in the main unit batteries (3 x AA type). This takes
APPROXIMATELY 10 minutes. In those 10 minutes searching the unit contact with the outside

temperature and humidity station (s) and is also looking for the sender of the Atomic clock time
reference in Cologne, to take this to set the correct date and time.
It is also possible to manually to set the time. See under Settings / Date & Time .
You can also manually enter the "search" out sensor to activate signals. Please refer to Settings /
Remote sensor reception .
Outdoor temperature / humidity sensor

Once the batteries (2 x AA) are inserted into the external sensor starts the transmitter and should be
rst on the transmitter so-called "house code" set. This is a value between 1 and 15 that ensures that
the signals from the transmitter can distinguish itself from other nearby stations.
Then the sensor number 1,2,3 or 4 can be set. When using one transmitter this should be set to no one.
If more than one are to be set the same "house code" on all these used outside sensors.

Settings
Outdoor sensor reception.

The weather station is able to receive up to four external temperature sensors information and display
it on the main station.
By gedurend 3 seconds contents of the (2) "Search" button, the control panel "search" for available
external sensor signals, and will is set here.
the (6) "Channel / Alarm" button can be selected for the outdoor sensor (1-4) the data are displayed.
The selected sensor number is shown in the LCD display next to the word "outside".
If it appears that received non want to signals from other transmitters, the sensors used the "house
code" must go to an unused value can be set.
Detection of Frost and Snow done only on the basis of information from external sensor No 1.

Unit temperature.

With the "+" button is always the temperature display to switch between degrees Celsius or degrees
Fahrenheit.
12 or 24 - Hour Clock.

the time.
Contrast of the LCD display.

The contrast of the LCD display can be adjusted in four steps of brightness.
Turn-off the round (1) "Mode" button so that the display "TIME 2", and the top of the display shows "
contrast " appears.
The ( 4) "Select" button can now be isgesteld the LCD contrast.
Turn three times in the round (1) "Mode" button until the display to read again "tIME 1".

Date & Time can be set manually:

Turn the round "Mode" button and hold it for 3 seconds at the stop.
In the time display now ashes the hours.
Set the hours with the + and - keys at the right time .
to set the minutes, press the (4) "Select" button.
set the minutes using the + and -. button at the correct time
, press the (4) "Select" button to set the Day .
Set the day using the + and - keys on the right day of the month. The day of the week designation (Tu,
etc.) will adjust simultaneously to the set date.
Press the (4) "Select" button to set the month.
Set the month with the + and - keys on the correct date.
Press the (4) "Select" button to set the correct year. The display shows the word year , and below the
specied year.
The "+" and "-" keys can be set to the correct year. (between 2001 and 2047)
Press (4) "Select" button, nally, to set the time zone.
The display shows the word Zone "with it under the time zone. The zone must for Amsterdam and its
surroundings on the value "263" be put.
In this position it is also possible to turn on or off with the (3) "Snooze / Light" button, the DST
(daylight saving time) setting.
to nish setting Date and Time must the round "Mode" button is just turned repeatedly until no
ashing parts are more visible on the display, and the top left "TIME 1" is shown.
Besides the ability to manually set the date and time the base station is also able to synchronize the
internal clock with the Atomic clock tijdrefferentie in Cologne. Usually this happens when initializing
after turning the unit, but it can also be activated manually by pressing for 3 seconds, both "(2)"
Search "" and the "-" button. A ashing radio symbol indicates that the synchronization process is in
progress.
When the time using the Atomic Clock is set to see this on a radio symbol next to the time. In this
case, the clock will be each day a little after midnight to synchronize with the atomic clock.
Height & Luchtruk unit.

To make the Baro (barometric pressure) meter proper values indicate it is important that you indicate
at what height above or below sea level, the weather station is used.
The conguration is as follows:
Turn the round (1) "Mode" button for three seconds to the stop.
the Date / Time display will blink.
Turn again the round "Mode" button.
the display shows the word level and the numbers go ashing underneath.
Use the "+" and "-" button the correct height in increments of 10 meters.
the (3) "Snooze / Light" button is now the unit of measurement between hPa (hecto Pascal) or mmHg
(millimeters of mercury) to be set.
to nish setting the height must the round (1) "Mode" button is just turned repeatedly until no ashing
parts are more visible on the display, and the top left "TIME 1" is shown.
Setting the temperature and humidity over / under-schreidings alarm.

Each of temperatures or of humidity indicator (inside / outside), it is possible to set an alarm or

onderschreidings.
Setting up such on or onderschreidingsalarm as follows:
Turn the round (1) "Mode" button for three seconds until the attack.
the Date / Time display will blink.
Turn again the round (1) "Mode" button.

the display shows the word "height" and the numbers go ashing underneath.
Turn again the round now (1) " mode "button until the value for which you want to set a limit ashes.
Use the" + "and" - "keys can be set to the desired limit now.
the (3)" Snooze / Light "button can be selected now to activate the preset value as above be it under
limit.
to set the limit value alarm (s) to terminate should the round (1) "Mode" button is just turned
repeatedly until no ashing parts to see on the display are, top left and "TIME 1" is shown.
Alarm (Alarm) function.

The weather station has the ability to set two different alarm times, which are marked with alarm 1
and alarm 2.
To set an alarm time is as follows:
Turn the round (1) "Mode" button to the top the LCD screen display Alarm 1 and Alarm 2 appears.
With the "+" button can now be put to the hour before the selected alarm time. With the "-" button can
be put to the minute for the selected alarm time.
The (4) "Select" button should the day or set of days for which the alarm is intended to be set. It can
be selected from:
Every day of the week ( "MA" t / m "SO")
A single weekday (eg "WO" for Wednesday)
All days ( "MA" t / m "VR")
Only in the week-end ( "ZA" and "SO")
Not on Sunday ( "MA" t / m "ZA")
By (6) "Channel / Alarm" button is the selected alarm activated or deactivated.
To nish setting the alarm to the round (1) "Mode" button repeatedly be rotated until the top left
"TIME 1" can be seen.

Use
LCD backlight

To even at night when it is dark with the (3) "Snooze / Light" button at the top of the unit LCD display
to read the display can be lit for 7 seconds.
Weather forecast

The station is built intelligent logic to determine a forecast for the next twelve hours on the basis of
the measurement data aktueele, and its progress. Only when the weather longer necessary as twelve
hours, there may have been done a forecast.
The following weather types are indicated by symbols:
Sunny / cloudy weather
Cloudy weather
Rainy weather
Storm / Storm
Frost / IJsel
Snow
Sunny clear day is indicated after sunset with a moon and star sky symbol, and during the day with a
sun symbol.

Selecting histogram data

Bottom left on the LCD display shows a graph where the evolution of temperature or pressure is
plotted for the last twelve hours.
Use the (4) "Select" button to select which data are shown in the chart. Choice can be made between:
Indoor temperature.
outside temperature
Barometric pressure (air pressure)
When displaying outdoor temperature can be selected with the (6) "Channel / Alarm" button for any
of the (up to) 4 outdoor sensors temperature data are shown in the chart.
Use of a second (local) time

As the round (1) "Mode" button once rotated will appear in the display "Time 2". With the "+ and" "button is now the hour of these alternative time be brought forward or delayed.
Time 2 function is here on the earth also the local time of a place alongside the 'own' local time in
another time zone to show.
Maxima and Minima per day.

For the temperature and humidity data as lower right are on display LCD display, it is possible the
Highest, and to see the lowest values in the current day.
Use the (5) "Min / Max" button to switch between Actueele, minimum and Maximum value.
When displaying a minimum or maximum value, the LCD display shows "MIN" or "MAX".
If the clock at midnight (00:00 hours) pass is used, the minimum and maximum values are reset to on
that moment actueele values.
battery check

For both (see the inside temperature) batteries in the central display unit, as in the outdoor sensor (see
the outside temperature) is indicated by a ashing battery symbol on the LCD screen, the battery
needs to be replaced.
