In the readings today we encounter two people-Moses and

the Persistent Woman. Moses is
the great leader of the Hebrews
and the unnamed woman is a
widow that is marginalized from
society. Moses is overlooking a
great battle and the woman is stomping into a
law office waging a personal battle for justice.
Both are pleading, both are persistent. It is their
persistence that really pays off.
Prayer and Faith must also be persistent.
Sometimes it's easy, sometimes a battle...but it's
always through the grace of persistence that we
can achieve God's grace. After all, isn't God persistent with you and me?
Persistence in faith and prayer reminds us of
our incompleteness. It also keeps us in touch
with our deepest desires and needs like- love,
faith, forgiveness, mercy. Persistence unites us
with God. God's love and help surpasses our
pleadings. We plead for an end, He gives us
strength to endure. We beg for stability He gives
us grace to change. We ask for more time, and
He gives ETERNAL LIFE!
Pray with me that our prayer becomes persistent Faith! Never lose the hope. Don't give up on
God-He understands our every need and desire.
He longs for us to reach out and touch Him. Your
hand of prayer and faith will be enough!

Live Jesus in our hearts, forever!

Franciscan Reflections
"The treasure of Heaven is when
you look upon yourself as washing the feet of others. Never
make yourself superior of others. We are the servants of God."

received his or her first Eucharist
or Confirmation?
Do you want answers to questions such as:
What do Catholics believe?
How do you pray?
Why is Mary so important?
How do you say the Rosary?
If you answered yes to any of these questions,
speak to Donna Lombardi after mass or contact
her via email at: Donna.Lombardi7@gmail.com

Check your pockets, the bottom of your purse,
