It was Sunday. Jeremys mother brought him to a bookshop. Jeremy needed to buy his
workbooks and stationery. His mother gave him RM30. Jeremy, do not forget to return the
change to me, said his mother. Jeremy said to his mother, Yes, Mum. I will return the change
to you.
The bookshop was selling a new toy for RM20. Although Jeremy liked the toy, he did not
buy it. Jeremy bought his workbooks and stationery, which cost RM27. He received a change of
RM4. Jeremy counted the change and saw that he had an extra RM1 . He returned the extra
RM1 to the cashier. The cashier was pleased with his honesty. She rewarded him with a
bookmark.
Jeremy went home happily with the bookmark. He returned the change of RM3 to his
mother. He told his mother about his reward. His mother smiled brightly. She said, Good boy!
Im so proud of you. You did the right thing.
