2. Homework Assignments
There will be daily (Monday-Friday) assignments provided through MyFrenchLab. No late
assignments will be accepted! I strongly recommend that you take advantage of them as they will
be a tool for your success in studying French.
3. Chapter Tests
Chapter tests are given at the beginning of class, so plan to arrive ON TIME. If you are late for
the test, you will automatically miss the first part of the exam which is oral, only! If you have an
unusual circumstance that prevents you from taking a test, be sure to contact me by email as
soon as possible.
4. Video Presentations
For this assignment you will create a short film about a day in the life of (insert your name). It
can be serious, accurate or totally fictitious as long as it is all done in French and to the best of
your ability. You may use cell phones or other video equipment. It should be at least
5 minutes, and no longer than 10 minutes with narration or dialogue throughout the film. We
will watch them together as a class and you will turn in a digital copy to me.
5. Tutoring (Language Center)
To support for your learning process, you will meet, get to know, interact with a French tutor at
the Language lab for 1 hour every week. You and the tutor are to speak to each other ONLY in
French. The tutor will keep a record of your visits, and you will need to turn in the tutors
report, every Monday, at the beginning of class. You lose points for every late reports. Make
sure to have the tutor sign it. In case you are late or must unavoidable miss an appointment, you
must contact your tutor by phone or email as soon as possible. If your tutor must be absent,
he/she is instructed to leave a message at the language center desk.
6. Oral Presentations (skits)
You will be working in groups of 2 or 3 on a skit of your choice. The
presentation will be in French ONLY! Choose a fable, a movie, a poem, etc.
and have it approved by the instructor at the beginning of the semester.
Make it interesting, eye catching, follow the theme and especially. Have
fun!!! Presentations should be from 10-15 minutes in length-no longer. Use
note cards if you wish, but do not read the presentation. At the end of it, you
should turn in a hard copy of your presentation.
7. Final Examination
