1. Application Requirements
1.1 Applicants must have completed high school or passed an equivalent high school
standard test or be currently in their final year of high school (Grade 12 in the US
system or Year 13 in the British/IB system).
1.2 Applicants must submit all of the following three documents in which at least 2 out of
3 score result must meet the requirements.
1.2.1 Applicants must achieve the prescribed minimum score in anyone of the
following English Proficiency tests:
TOEFL (Paper-based)
not lower than 550
or
TOEFL (Internet-based)
not lower than 79
or
IELTS
not lower than 6.0
or
SAT I (Critical Reading)
not lower than 400
or
CU-AAT (Verbal)
not lower than 400
or
CU- TEP
not lower than 80
1.2.2 Applicants must achieve the prescribed minimum score in anyone of the
following Mathematics. Proficiency tests:
SAT I (Maths)
not lower than 550
or
CU-AAT (Maths)
not lower than 550
or
Grade "B" in Mathematics at A-LEVEL Test
or
Grade "B" in Mathematics at Australian Entrance Exam
or
Grade "B" in Mathematics at International Baccalaureate (IB)
1.2.3 Test of Aptitude in Design: CU- TAD with minimum of 50%
1.3 Applicants who doesn't meet only 2 out of 3 requirements from item 1.2 must still
achieve the minimum score in item 1.3
1.3.1 Applicants must achieve the prescribed minimum score in anyone of the
following English Proficiency tests:
TOEFL (Paper-based)

or
TOEFL (Internet-based)
not lower than 61
or
IELTS
not lower than 5.5
or
SAT I (Critical Reading)

1.3.2 Applicants must achieve the prescribed minimum score in anyone of the
following Mathematics Proficiency tests:

Grade "C" in Mathematics at Australian Entrance Exam

Applicants must submit all of the following three documents.

Applicants who wish to apply using SAT I (Maths) and SAT I (Critical Reading) or CUAAT (Maths) and CU-AAT (Verbal) must submit the scores of both parts tested on the
same occasion.
The official score report of the tests in 1.2.1,1.2.2 and 1.2.3 or 1.3.1,1.3.2 and 1.3.3 is
valid only when the tests were taken not more than two years of the application deadline.
1.4 Portfolio: Personal work of art, craft and design in A4 size folder or binding with
thickness of not more than one inch.
1.5 All Applicants must have a history of good behavior and agree to abide strictly by
existing and any further University regulations, codes and policies.
2. Application Package
Applicants must complete the application form in full ensure that all information given is true
and correct. All application form must be accompanied by the following:
Two of one-inch (1") photographs
Academic transcript(s) .
Documents of qualifications according to item 1.2
Copies of official diploma or equivalent certifying high school graduation or
academic status from the applicants' school
A copy of applicants' passport
Portfolio according to item 1.4

3. Evaluation Criteria
The Faculty of Architecture will make their selection based on the applicants' qualifications
accompanying document stated in item 1, application package, interview test score and
English writing test score. The weights assigned to the 6 requirements are following:
English Proficiency tests
20%
Mathematics Proficiency tests
15%
Test of Aptitude in Design: CU-TAD
20%
Portfolio
10%
Interview test
25%
English writing test
10%
4. Enrolment
In order to be eligible to enrol at Chulalongkorn University, applicants must have
successfully completed an upper secondary or high school education. Applicants who have
graduated from international schools in Thailand that have been accredited by the Ministry of
Education may use their school transcript or diploma. In all other cases, they need to obtain
an equivalent certificate from the Ministry of Education.
