Applications in the prescribed form are invited from eligible candidates for filling up of
following posts in Regional Centre for Urban & Environmental Studies Lucknow through Direct
Recruitment/ Deputation/ Service Transfer:
1.

Joint Director -

One post

Pay Scale:

Rs. 15600-39100, GP: 8,000/-

Mode of

Qualification
& Experience:

Masters Degree with Ph.D. in Social Sciences including


Geography or Masters degree in Town & Regional Planning/
Architecture/ Civil Engineering in first division with consistently
good academic record. Minimum 5 years of administrative
experience in training or research or consultancy preferably in
the urban sector.
For Officers under Central Government/State Governments/
Autonomous Bodies/ PSUs /Semi Government/ Institutes
holding analogous post or 5 years regular service in the Pay
Band of Rs.15600-39100+GP 6,000/- and above in the parent
cadre or department having required experience.

Desirable
Qualification:

Experience of working in the urban sector with experience in


Environmental Engineering/Transportation Planning/ Civil
Engineering/Public Health Engineering/ Urban Poverty/Urban
planning including social planning and development planning
will be an added advantage. Good written and oral
communication skills in English & Hindi language and working
knowledge of computer is desirable.

Research Officer -

One Post

Pay Scale:

Rs. 15600-39100, GP: 8,000/-

Diploma/degree in Computer Application from recognized
university/ institute/Board, with minimum 3 years of working
experience in a Government Office/ PSU/ Autonomous Body/

Graduates with first division from recognized university/


institute. With certificate of Hindi and English shorthand and
typing with alteast 40 words in Hindi and 60 words in English
per minute, with minimum 3 years of working experience in a
Government Office/ PSU/ Autonomous Body/ MNC/ Company.
For Applicants under Central Government/State Governments/
Autonomous Bodies/ PSUs /Semi Government/ Institutes
holding analogous post or 3 years regular service in the Pay
Band of Rs. 9300-34800, GP- 4200/- and above in the parent
cadre or department.
Graduates with diploma in Computer Applications OR Graduate
with O level certificate from DOEACC with Knowledge of
Modern Office Management and Secretarial practice. Proficiency
in use of computers applications is desirable.

AGE LIMIT:
i)

Not below 21 years and not exceeding 40 years on the date of


application for the posts open for direct recruitment.

ii) The upper age limit for candidates applying on Deputation/ Service
Transfer shall be 56 years.
iii) The age limit is relaxed by 5 years for SC, ST and differently abled
candidates and by 3 years for OBC candidates.
APPLICATION FEE:
Candidates are required to pay Application fee of Rs. 1000/- for General/OBC
applicants and Rs.500/- for SC/ST category candidates and Rs. 150 for
differently abled category. The Application Fee shall be payable in the form of
Demand Draft in favour of Director, Regional Centre for Urban &
Environmental Studies, Lucknow, payable at Lucknow.
SELECTION PROCEDURE
The selection of the candidates applying for the post of Office Assistant,
Technical Assistant and Stenographer will be on the basis of written test and
interview depending on the number of applications received. For all other posts
the selection will be based on personal interview.

INSTRUCTIONS AND ADDITIONAL INFORMATION


Application may be made in the prescribed format (given in Annexure-1) on plain
paper giving full particulars, accompanied by attested copies of Certificates in
support of Age, Educational Qualification and Certificates of reservation, where
ever applicable.
Persons already in Government Service should send their application through
proper channel. An advance copy may be sent before the due date.
The applications may be submitted neatly typed on white paper in double space
and typed on only one side of paper. The envelope of application should be
superscribed

Complete applications with enclosures should be sent to the Office of the
Administrative Officer, Regional Centre for Urban & Environmental
Studies, Lucknow Adjacent Registrars Officer, Lucknow University
Campus, Lucknow-226007 to reach on or before 5:00 p.m. of 10th
September, 2016. Applications received after the closing date will not be
entertained. Applicants submitting for more than one post shall submit separate
application for each post.
Only those fulfilling the requirements will be short listed and called for interview.
The selected candidates will be required to join the post within 15 days from the
date of issue of appointment letter.

Candidates will not be entitled to receive TA/DA.
