Why should this mean anything to you?

Because the health of the bodyand skinis directly linked to maintaining
the right balance between acidity and alkalinity.

Inner balance: the Who What and Why

What is the skin made of?

The skin is one of the most complicated immune
organs of the body, comprising about 15% of the body weight.
The total skin surface of an adult ranges
from 12 to 20 square feet. In terms of
chemical composition, the skin is about
70% water, 25% protein and 2% essential lipids for SC health.
The remainder includes trace minerals,
nucleic acids, glycosaminoglycans,
proteoglycans and numerous other chemicals.
The skin consists of three
main layers: epidermis, dermis and
subcaneous tissue.

As the most externally exposed organ in the

human body, the skin provides mechanical
protection and a controlled permeable barrier
to the external environment to maintain
internal homeostasis.
The layered construction of the skin represents
a composite material in
which the components possess specialized
functionalities to accommodate a variety of
conditions from mechanical stresses to variable
ambient moisture and to resist the presence of
toxic chemicals, pathogens, and radiation.

is similar to an aqueous solution.

Stratum Corneum pliability depends on hydration

NMF provides restoration for the SC

According to a 2010 study published in the British Journal of Dermatology

that tracked women's skin over an eight-year period, women with an alkaline
stratum corneum (the skin's outermost layer)
developed more fine lines and crow's-feet
and were more prone to sun damagethan those with acidic skin.

When it's too alkaline, skin becomes dry and sensitive; you may even get eczema.
Inflammation, which inhibits the skin's ability to ward off
matrix metalloproteinases [MMPs]
These are the enzymes that destroy collagen and cause wrinkles and sagging."

ALKALINE

Although conventional medical doctors generally agree

that a plant-based diet with
an abundance of fruit and vegetables
and minimal salt and refined grains
is beneficial to health, conventional doctors
do not believe that an acid-producing
diet is the foundation of chronic illness.
In conventional medicine, there is evidence,
however, that some of the foods allowed
on the alkaline diet may improve overall health.

Nutritionists and scientists all over the world state that

we should take in at least five dishes of
vegetables and green foods per day, every day!
But where and how in our fast paced lifestyles,
eating on the run, are we going to be able to do this?
Our bustling and overloaded ways of life don't
allow us to watch out sufficiently enough for a healthy
and balanced nutrition.

Acidic and Alkaline foods & topicals can irritate common skin conditions:

Rosacea
Acne
Pigmentation
Dryness
Post op skin

Traditional high protein breakfast foods like omelette, bacon,

sausage, meats etc. also compromise the inner fluids
and ultimately lead to higher acid levels in our body.
Symptoms of a pH imbalance can be weight problems
such as overweight and underweight,
as well as other health conditions such as allergies,
arthritis, acne and heart attacks.
REMEMBER FOOD IS MEDICINE!

To decelerate and the over-acidification of the body

reverse the condition by creating a proper nutritional
balance of alkaline-forming and acid-forming
foods in your diet.
As normal body pH level is 7.356 on the pH scale,
thus slightly alkaline, add amounts of alkaline water and
alkaline food to your daily diet.
The body will be able to restore its ideal pH, get rid of
acid wastes and create a healthy inner environment and
restore skin health.

YOUR INTAKE FORM SHOULD INCLUDE DAILY DIET

and alcohol

Research has shown that any alkaline value of above 8 irritates

the skin.
It has also been proven that most skin care have high pH
values, therefore putting skin at risk.
For example, many skin care soaps on the market today
have a pH value of between 9 and 11 and destructive to skin.
Science has proven that using skin care products too alkaline
cause damage to the acid mantle and takes skin
14 hours to restore.
