Environmental problems have attained alarming proportions. It is essential to sensitize

environmental issues and the laws. The important principles in the field like inter-gen
carrying capacity, sustainable development, and precautionary principle, polluter pay prin
appreciated. The law in practice is to be analyzed and evaluated. The course is designed
objectives.

As part of this course the students will:

Learn the origins and sources of environmental laws, and understand how
environmental laws are made and interpreted.
Understand the key principles of, and actors within, environmental laws.
Understand the interplay between politics, policy, science and values in environment
