PARTS OF THE BODY

El cuerpo humano se divide en tres grandes partes:
-

Head - Cabeza
Torso / trunck - Torso / tronco es el centro del cuerpo
Limbs - Extremidades que son las piernas y los brazos

Tambin tenemos otras partes en nuestro cuerpo

como:

Para que nuestro cuerpo se pueda mover y doblar necesitamos las

articulaciones (JOINS ).

Nuestras articulaciones son:

Hombro - shoulder
Codo - elbow
Mueca - wrist
Cadera - hip
Rodilla - knee
Tobillo - ankle

SISTEM BODY
Nosotros, en nuestro cuerpo tenemos tres sistemas:
-

Sistema circulatorio ( sangre )

Sistema respiratorio ( respirar )
Sistema digestivo ( comer )

CIRCULATORY SISTEM
El sistema circulatorio lleva la sangre desde el corazn a todo
el cuerpo por las arterias y las venas. La sangre nos da a
nuestro cuerpo nutrientes y oxigeno.
Las partes de nuestro sistema circulatorio son:
-el corazn
-las venas
-las arterias
The circulatory sistem moves blood through the heart and
around the body in the arteries and veins. The blood gives our
body nutrients and oxygen.
Parts of circulatory system:
-heart
-veins
-arteries

Nuestro corazn est dividido en cuatro partes. Las aurculas

derecha e izquierda y los ventrculos derecho e izquierdo.
Our heart is divided into four parts. The left and right atriums
and the left and right ventricles.

El sistema respiratorio es un grupo de rganos que juntos hacen

que podamos respirar.

Nosotros respiramos por la nariz y la boca

El aire pasa a nuestros pulmones
Nosotros cuando respiramos cogemos oxigeno y cuando
echamos ese aire por la boca ya es dixido de carbono.
El oxigeno pasa al sistema circulatorio para que lo lleve
por todo el cuerpo.

The respiratory system is a group of organs that work together to

help us breathe.
-

We breathe in air our nose and mouth

The air goes down into our lungs
We breathe in oxygen and breathe out carbon dioxide.
Oxygen is passed to the circulatory system, where it moves
around the body.

DIGESTIVE SYSTEM
El sistema digestivo es un grupo de rganos que nos ayudan a digerir
la comida.
-

Nosotros comemos por la boca

Despus esa comida pasa al estomago y al intestino
En el intestino se separan los nutrientes de los desechos
que son expulsados por nuestro cuerpo cuando hacemos
caca.
Los nutrientes pasan al sistema circulatorio y los mueve
por todo el cuerpo

The digestive system is a group of organs that work together to help

us digest food.

We take in food through our mouth

It passes down into our stomach and intestine
The intestine separates the nutrients from the waste and expels
the waste from our body.
The nutrients are passed to the circulatory system where they
move around the body.

PARTES: EL INTESTINO GRUESO Y EL INTESTINO DELGADO.
OUR INTESTINE IS DIVIDED INTO TWO PARTS: THE LARGE INTESTINE
AND THE SMALL INTESTINE.

SENTIDOS:

( LA VISTA )

Nuestros ojos son el organo de la vista. Nosotros

podemos ver diferentes formas, tamaos y colores.
La pupila es negra y el iris puede ser de diferente color.
( por eso hay personas que tienen los ojos marrones,
verdes o azules. Lo de color del ojo es el iris)
Nuestros ojos son muy delicados por eso estn
protegidos por cejas, pestaas y parpados. Ellos evitan
que el sudor y el polvo entre en nuestros ojos.

Our eyes are the organs of sight. We can see different

shapes, sizes and colours.
The pupils are black but the iris can be different colours.

Our eyes are very delicate and are protected by the

eyebrows, eyelashes and eyelids. These stop sweat and
dust getting into our eyes.

HEARING ( EL OIDO )

Nuestros oidos son los rganos de la audicin, de pode

oir. Nosotros podemos oir sonidos fuertes y sonidos
tranquilos, flojitos.
El odo tiene tres partes: odo externo, odo medio y odo
interno
Nuestros odos son muy delicados. El cerumen es una
sustancia pegajosa dentro del canal auditivo que
proteje al odo de la suciedad y de las infecciones.
Our ears are the organs of hearing. We can hear loud
sounds and quiet sounds.
Our ears have three parts: the outer ear, middle ear and
inner ear.
Our ears are very delicate. Earwax is a sticky substance inside
our ear canal. It protect our ears from dirt and infection.

THE BRAIN ( EL CEREBRO )

Nuestro cerebro es el centro de control de nuestro cuerpo. El
cerebro da seales a nuestros ojos y odos para que podamos ver y
oir.
Our brain is the control centre of our body. It read signals from
our eyes and ears tell us what we can see and hear.
THIS IS THE BRAIN. IT IS IN THE HEAD.
ESTE ES EL CEREBRO. ESTA DENTRO DE LA CABEZA, Y VAMOS A
RECORDAR QUE EL CEREBRO ES EL CENTRO DE CONTROL DE
NUESTRO CUERPO.

THE BRAIN IS THE CONTROL CENTER OF OUR BODY.

HOW DO WE SEE THINGS? COMO PODEMOS VER

LAS COSAS ?
1. El reflejo de un objeto entra en el ojo a travs de la
pupila.
2. La luz pasa a travs de una lente a la retina ( que esta
en la parte de atrs del ojo ), donde se refleja la imagen
al revs.
3. La retina manda la informacin al cerebro.
4. El cerebro recibe la seal y ordena que podamos ver.

1. light reflects off an object and enters the eye through the
pupil.
2. The light goes through the lens and makes an image on the
retina ( at the back of the eye), the image is upside down.
3. The retina sends the information to the brain.
4. The brain reads the signal and tell us what we can see.

HOW DO WE HEAR THINGS? COMO PODEMOS OIR

LAS COSAS ?

1. Las ondas sonoras,(el sonido), entra a travs del odo

externo ( la oreja)
2. Las ondas golpean el timpano, en el odo medio y lo
hacen vibrar.

3. Esto hace que se mueva el liquido del odo medio y

mande seales al cerebro.
4. El cerebro recibe la seal y ordena que podamos oir.

1. Sound waves enter through the outer ear.

2. The waves hit the eardrum in the middle ear and make it
vibrate.
3. This makes the liquid in the inner ear move and send signals
to the brain.
4. The brain reads the signals and tells us what we can hear.

SMELL ( OLFATO)
- Nuestra nariz es el organo que usamos para oler.
- El aire entra en nuestra nariz a travs de las fosas

nasales.
El nervio olfativo manda informacin al cerebro para que
podamos oler.
Podemos oler sobre 10.000 olores diferentes.

- Our nose is the organ we use to smell.

Air enter the nose through the nostrils

The olfactory nerve sends information to our brain which tell
us what we can smell.
We can smell about 10.000 different odours.

TASTE ( EL GUSTO)

Nuestra lengua es el organo de los sabores.

Nuestra lengua esta cubierta por las papilas gustativas.
Estas diferencias diferentes sabores.
Los nervios mandan informacin de esos sabores al
cerebro.
Podemos identificar 4 sabores bsicos: dulce, salado,
amargo y acido.
Our tongue is the organ we use to taste,
Our tongue is covered in taste buds. These identify different
tastes.
Nerves send information about the different tastes to our
brain.
We can identify 4 basic tastes: sweet, salty, bitter and sour.

OUR SKIN (NUESTRA PIEL)

TOUCH ( EL TACTO)
- Nuestra pie les el organo que usamos para tocar.

- Nuestro cuerpo esta cubierto de piel. La piel es el mayor

rgano del cuerpo humano.

Nuestra piel nos dice si algo es suave o duro, caliente o
frio, aspero o liso.
Los nervios sensoriales mandan la informacin al
cerebro.

Our skin is the organ we use to touch

Our body is covered in skin. It is the largest organ in the
human body.
Our skin can tell us if something feels soft or hard, hot or
cold, rough or smooth.
Sensory nerves send this information to our brain.
