1.Transportation

Provides transportation
services for sporting
events that are paid with
the general fund. Rental
vans are used for sporting
events that are away.
Bus passes are also
available to those who
express the need for them.
Vans or charter busses are
rented when a field trip is
planned, and is payed by
fundraising money.

The mission of Public

Safety Academy is to
develop the cadet
toward a career in
public safety service
through a process of
rigorous academics,
realistic hands-on
training, attitude
development, fitness
improvement and strict
discipline. Part of the
realistic hands on
training requires field
trips to places to give
students first hand
experiences.

Purchase vans for the

school use for sporting
events and field trips so
that rentals are not used.
Then use an electronic
tracking and request
program to digitally track
the use of the purchased
vans to get real time
information about the use
of the purchase.

Van rentals are $100/day

which takes part of the
general budget. Cost
may be decreased upon
purchase of
transportation. There is
no digital program used
to track usage of rentals.
All tracking is done by
the office manager.

The budget manager on site

should be contacted directly to
identify the cost of a purchase of
vans or busses. Consideration is
to made with the necessary
protocols that must be followed
when carrying students to and
from school function which
include but are not limited to
vehicle inspections, insurance
requirements and user
requirements. CSMC would be
contacted to determine the best
data tracking program to use.

6. Real Estate / Facilities

The office manager

coordinates the
maintenance of all
facilities in the
organization. The security
director plans additions to
the campus. Recently
(2014) the facility
underwent a $4,000,000
consolidation of the high
school and middle school
campuses onto one
property that is owned by
the San Manuel Indian
Band. The school rents
the property, portable
classrooms, and the
gymnasium from various
entities.

The mission of Public

Safety Academy is to
develop the cadet
toward a career in
public safety service
through a process of
rigorous academics,
realistic hands-on
training,attitude
development, fitness
improvement and strict
discipline. In order for
cadets to be given an
appropriate education,
students must have
quality facilities to learn
in.

Leadership wishes to
expand the campus size
outward. This means
finding a permanent
facility. The progress of
the expansion could be
tracked through a digital
portfolio that could be
accessed by all
stakeholders.

The lease of rented

portable expires in 2018.
Much of the budget is
spent on renting facilities
rather than renting to
own the facilities. There
is no way for
stakeholders to track the
progress of the campus
expansion.

A special committee has been

formed per the governing board
of directors to seek out a
permanent solution for new real
estate and facilities of the
organization. The special
committee would collaborate
with the IT department to create
an online portfolio to document
the expansion project.

*Waiting on specific
budget information from
CSMC.

7. Maintenance /
Operation

The office manager

coordinates the
maintenance of all
facilities in the
organization.

The mission of Public

Safety Academy is to
develop the cadet
toward a career in
public safety service
through a process of
rigorous academics,
realistic hands-on
training,attitude
development, fitness
improvement and strict
discipline. According
to California Education
Law, Title 5 Division 1,
Chapter 13, Subchapter
1 School Facilities
Construction Article 1.
General Standards
14001, Minimum
Standards.
Educational facilities
planned by school
districts shall be:
Evolved from a
statement of educational
program requirements
which reflects the
school district's
educational goals and
objectives. Proper
maintenance is required
to have a proper
education.

Allow stakeholders to
submit an online request
when a service is needed.
This would allow the
service to be received
quicker and would reduce
the foot traffic in the
office managers office.

Currently anything that

is needed in regards to
maintenance is requested
through an email or in
person. This creates
stress and a
non-conducive working
environment for the
office manager, who
wears many hats.

The principal would need to be

briefed on the matter so that she
could contact CSMC and/or the
IT department to set up a system
for these types of requests.
