You can turn on/off the Charging Timer.


You can also set the charging schedule to fit your lifestyle.

You can turn on/off the A/C, or set the A/C to run on a schedule.
Heating, cooling, or defrosting can be selected.
When the ELECTRIC HEATER is not equipped, only Cooling can be selected as the Climeate Control
Mode.

You can check your car's status such as an open/closed door,


an open/closed hood, headlights are ON/OFF, driving battery state of charge, etc.

You can turn on/off headlights and parking lights.


The lights will go off automatically 30 seconds after being lit, so you don't have to worry about a dead
battery.

You can change MITSUBISHI REMOTE CONTROL settings, such as change/cancel SSID,
customize vehicle settings, and check theft alarm operation history.

[ General ]
Q: Is there a cost communicating with the vehicle?
A: There are no communication fees because you communicate directly with your vehicle
through your wireless device.
However, you are responsible for the communication fees associated with downloading
the application.

Q: After updating MITSUBISHI REMOTE CONTROL application, functions won't work (e.g.:
Inoperable wireless device, Vehicle status not displayed). Why?
A: Please confirm that your vehicle has the latest software.
You can verify the software version by checking the "Version Information" screen located
in "Settings".

[ Wireless communication ]
Q: Do I have to connect the Internet to use this remote-control system?
A: You don't have to connect the Internet.

Q: I cannot communicate with my vehicle. Why?


A: The following situations do not allow you to communicate with your vehicle. Please check
your operating environment.
1. When your wireless device is located outside your vehicle's wireless LAN communication area.
2. When your wireless device is connected to a network other than your vehicle.
3. When other wireless devices are communicating with your vehicle.
4. Your vehicle stops Wi-Fi communication to prevent the auxiliary battery from running out.
5. Other situations (Please see your owner's manual for details.)

Q: What is the maximum range?


A: The range may vary depending on your wireless device and/or surrounding environments.
The range when used in a clear environment varies from several meters to tens of
meters.
*: A communication failure may occur because the range greatly varies depending on the
communicating direction,
a situation where it is difficult for radio waves to penetrate, when Wi-Fi communication is affected by
other strongradiowaves, or by the Wi-Fi strength of different wireless devices.

[ Settings ]
Q: What should I do if I forget my password?
A: You need to re-install the application.
Please delete the application once from your wireless device and re-install the application
from App Store or Google Play.
Then register your vehicle.

Q: I don't have any wireless devices; how can I update the software of my vehicle?
A: Please contact your MITSUBISHI MOTORS Authorized dealer.

Q: When updating the software of my vehicle, is there anything I need to be careful about?
A:
1. Do not quit the application.
2. Do not enter sleep mode or the screen lock modeon the wireless device.
3. Please check that the radio wave environment is goodfor wireless device.
4. Do not connect another wireless device.

Q: I cannot change the vehicle settings. Why?


A: When the security function of the vehicle is in System Armed Mode or Alarm Activation,
vehicle settings cannot be changed.
To change the vehicle settings, cancel the System Armed Mode or Alarm Activation.
For more information on the Security Alarm, please refer to the Security Alarm section of
the Owner's manual.

Q: Can I connect through other networks?


A: You cannot connect to Wi-Fi network provided at your house.
Your vehicle and wireless device communicate directly.

[ Navigation Integration ]
Q: If a navigation unit is installed, can I operate the Charging Timer and the Remote Climate
Control?
A: You cannot operate the Charging Timer and the Remote Climate Control
unless you install the MITSUBISHI REMOTE CONTROL unit into the vehicle. (Optional)

[ Remote Climate Control ]

Q: How long does the climate control operate for?


A: You can select 3 operation times , 10 minute, 20 minute and 30 minute.
(After the operation time, it stops automatically)

[ Charging Schedule ]
Q: On a day when charge timer is off, I can't charge up when I connect the charge connector.
Why?
A: If the charge timer is set up for even one day, the vehicle will not charge on other days,
even with the charge connector inserted.
To charge the vehicle right away, use one of the following methods.
1. Temporarily suspend the charge timer from the home screen of the Mitsubishi Remote Control
app.

2.

Turn off all of the charge timer settings from schedule setting screen of the Mitsubishi
Remote Control app or MMCS.

Charging Timer
Be sure to turn off the power switch when charging.
If the power switch is at the position other than OFF, the charging may be stopped.

Remote Climate Control


In case

of any of the following situations, the Remote Climate Control will not work.
When the power switch is at a position other than OFF.
When any of the doors or the engine hood, or the tailgate is opened.
When you open the engine hood once, the Remote Climate Control will not work until you turn

on the power switch.


When the vehicle is quick charging.
When the driving battery state of charge is low.

Longer operation of the climate control will further reduce the drive battery level.
If the drive battery is low, the actual climate control operation time may be shorter than originally set.
When the ELECTRIC HEATER is not equipped, only Cooling can be selected as the Climeate Control
Mode.

Automatic charging of auxiliary battery


Mitsubishi Remote Control requires use of the auxiliary battery.
To make up for power consumption due to Wi-Fi communication, automatic charging of the auxiliary
battery from the driving battery is done as needed for up to 20 minutes at 2:00 PM once a day.
A buzzer in cabin sounds while the auxiliary battery is being charged.
Automatic charging of the auxiliary battery will stop if the drive battery is low.

Discontinuation of Wi-Fi Communication


Wi-Fi communication may be temporarily stopped to prevent the auxiliary battery from running out
when you do not use the vehicle for a long time.(*)
You can restart Wi-Fi communication if more than 10 minutes have passed since Plug-in Hybrid EV
System has been started. (Ready indicator is on).
* If 36

hours have passed and none of the following have been performed:
The vehicle has not been run for 10 minutes.
The drive battery has not been charged more than 10 minutes.
Automatic charging of the auxiliary battery has not occured.

Also, if the vehicle has been outside for 36 hours and the outside temperature is less than -15 degrees
C.

Requires Android 2.1.0 and subsequent OS version.
