Welcome to the WORLD of ORGANIZING!

First and foremost, I personally dont know what to say because
for me coming up with this very wonderful and amazing output is a dream come
true! You know why? It was a actually a mess, impossiblewe seemed to be
counting grains of the sand when we were starting
Surprisingly, when you really love what you are doing you will
learn to have a FOCUS, so that everybody will be guided accordingly, plus when
you are working with people who also love what they are doing
CREATIVITY will be everywhere around you. However, work-output and performance will never be fully achieved without the proper planning, that is what we
call PREPARATION. Now, the hardest part after the planning is moving forward
and implementing what you have had planned, but again just like what I said
earlier, the PASSION, your willingness and love to what you are doing is the
key in every little details of your work, then at the end of the day you will say
to your colleagues, I enjoyed the day see ya! that is what we called FUN.
I know that this is just the beginning of the new journey of the
A&N Events Unlimited. We will never get tired of serving and working with all
the possible ways in turning your ideas into reality or should I say our tagline
Making your DREAMS in LIMITLESS ways will always be our promise and we
will make sure that it will come true!
Now, allow us to share some of the highlights of what we
have been doing in the past few years.
Ladies and Lords, we are pleased to bring you the MAIDEN
issue of this amazing magazine-type manual in the field of Events Management.
Let us all continue to learn, unlearn and relearn out of the insights
from this master piece in Event Organizing.
Share and spread our passion!
Sincerely yours,

Editor-in-Chief

I wish to congratulate the Editorial Staff for the success of the maiden
issue of this precious masterpiece A&N Events Unlimited Magazine-Manual
headed by the very healthy not only in heart but as well as in creativity, passion and many more, with the no less than the HR and PR Director, Jonathan
Nath Famenia Otic and to all our staff who contributed and supported
this very first magazine of ours.
I do believe that all your efforts and hardships in bringing-out all the
information that would be helpful not only to our costumers but as well as to
all the people that will be reached by this material.
The countless days that you spent the numbers of night you let
passed without using them to sleep in order for you to finish conceptualizing
the contents and information that are all compressed in here. I know that
this output will be the guide and light of our clienteles, as well as those who
wanted to engage in event organizing at their own.
Also, let this material be our way to let the people know about us, our
work, our services We may just be working in the silence in the past few
years, but with this let the people not only in our province see the best
things that A&N and its Unlimited Events be known!
Again, Congratulations! Let us keep working-out our DREAMS in many
different possible ways in turning to REALITY!

A&N Events Unlimited is a full-service of events planning

and organizing. Its services range from event conceptualization,
consultation through the actual orchestration of the affair,
sourcing and canvassing of suppliers, guest management and all
other details. The organization does not limits its capabilities in
organizing common events but including all the possible occasions that every Mindoreos wanted to be done.

The A&N was founded and created by the two admirable

people in the province of Occidental Mindoro. The name of the
organization was actually from the first letters of their names;
A from Mr. Angelito V. Quiones Jr., Executive Director, while
the N is from Mr Jonathan F. Otic, Human Resource and Public
Relation Director, also known as, Nath.
Mr. Quiones and Mr. Otic, started to work organizing
events before separately, as freelancers. For Mr. Quiones, it
was his sideline, since he is working as a teacher in Occidental
Mindoro National College during that time which is now the Occidental Mindoro State College or OMSC. While for Mr. Otic it
was a part-time job to support his study in college.
In 2007, Mr. Quiones noticed the potential of Mr. Otic
in hosting, so he started to tap him to hosts most of the event
that he organizes in San Jose, Magsaysay, Calintaan and even in
the nearby towns in the province of Occidental Mindoro. By
then, that was the start of the non-stop business engagement
that they both have had in the field of event organizing.
On the latter years, Mr. Quiones pursued his Masters Degree
and became busy for quite a while, by that time Mr. Otic already
graduated from college in the degree of BS Hotel and Restaurant Management, so he then continued the business that they

started, but still guided by his mentor Mr. Quiones.

March 8, 2014, when Mr. Angelito V. Quiones together with Dr. Miguel C. Elausa, Alternate Director, invited
Mr. Otic to be a part of the restaurant that they established
which is the Badons Diner as the resident chef. It was also
by that time when they thought of the name of the Events
Management Team, the A&N. On that date, both businesses
were launched in San Jose, Occ. Mindoro.

A&N sees to be the top-of-mind events organizer in the province of Occidental Mindoro by providing excellent quality
service and generating unlimited-creative and innovative
ideas, with commitment and unwavering dedication in an effective and efficient way thereby providing its clients the
finest personalized events they have dreamed for.

A&N Events Unlimited endeavors to create the concept of the clients dreams into reality and develop their
ideas to unlimited possibilities out of their available resources to guarantee their satisfaction by means of thorough
situational analysis, specific-measurable-attainable-relevanttime bound-elastic-rewarding planning, well guided implementation, and extensive evaluation.

Specifically the A&N Events Unlimiteds Vision and Mission

will be achieved by doing the following;
1) To be a company admired for its values, and standards to all our clients;

Both, Zumba and Ballroom are
latin-inspired fitness-movement incorporated with international music and songs
which create an amazing, fun and exciting dance.
While historically, ballroom dance
may refer to any form of formal social
dancing as recreation, with the eminence of dancesport in modern times the
term has become much narrower in
scope, usually referring specifically to the
International Standard and International
Latin style dances (see dance categories
below). In the United States, two additional variations "American Smooth" and

"American Rhythm" have also

been
popularized
and are commonly recognized as styles of "ballroom
dance".
The definition of ballroom dance also depends
on the era. Balls have featured Minuet, Quadrille, Polonaise, Pas de Gras, Mazurka,
and other popular dances
of the day, which are
considered to be historical dances. Today, the term applies to any one
of the several
dances
in
which
two
individuals, a "leader" and a "follower,"
dance with physical
contact
through
their upper or lower
bodies, or simply
their arms depending on the particular
variety
of
dance. Since most
social dancing is
unchoreographed,
this contact is necessary
for
the
leader to communicate
the
next
dance move to the
follower, and for the
follower to respond
to this insinuation.
This stands in stark
contrast with the
style(s) of dance
seen in clubs and
other social gatherings where physical

contact tends to be optional and the

individuals in question can move freely
without any such restraints imposed by
firm physical contact or by the necessity
to follow the rhythmic pattern present in
the music. Some knowledge of known step
patterns is essential for both the leader as
well as the follower for ballroom dancing. As
most ballroom style dances require some
knowledge and practice, they have lessened in popularity among the public in
the recent decades. Dance historians
usually mark the appearance of the twist
in the early 1960s as the end of social
partner dancing.
Meanwhile,
celebrity
fitness
trainer, "Beto" Perez, stumbled upon the
concept of Latin-inspired dance-fitness in his
native Cali, Colombia in the mid-'90s.
One day, he walked into his aerobics class and realized he had forgotten his
aerobics music. Thinking quickly, he
grabbed whatever tapes he had in his
backpack. Beto's tapes were comprised of
songs he loved, the traditional Latin salsa
and merengue music he listened to all his
life. But it was a challenge to improvise a
whole class on the spot using non-traditional
aerobics music. Beto rose to the challenge
and from this last-minute improvisation a
revolutionary new concept in fitness was
born the Zumba Fitness-Party! The class
soon became the most popular class at his
fitness facility.

The question that is thrown now is what
could be the best activity that we could offer to the people who are now in the age of
those who we call the young once because they were once young before is it
Zumba or Ballroom? The answer is...

If you dont know how to decide let

us help you to organize both the Ballroom
and Zumba sessions for the adults, seniors or
whatever we call them. Below are the tips
that I can share to you guys so read along
and hope you will be successful in preparing your sessions. So Let us first have the Ballroom Preparation

Tips in ORGANZING
BALLROOM SESSIONS
1. CHOOSE YOUR VENUE. Most organizer
will not start in choosing the right and
proper venue for the ballroom session,
but actually it is the most essential, because this will vary the number of guests
that you can invite in the ballroom
dancing event. You dont wanted to
end your program with a lot of complains from the young at hearts you invited since what they want is a spacious
dance floor so they could dance altogether at the same time on the dance
floor without bumping to one another.
Otherwise, your invited guests will never
come back after experiencing to become like a bump car in your area. Immediately reserve your target date to
the hall that you know that could cater
your target costumers.
2. SET THE DATE. If possible, before setting
the date talk to their organizations officers so that you will get the availability
of their members. Then, make sure that
the date is a month advance prior to
your information dissemination scheme.
Since, most of the young at hearts
wanted to be prepared on that particular occasion.
3. BE UNIQUE. Along with setting the dates
of your ballroom event, make sure that
you inform them about the concepts or
theme of your ball, so that as early as
possible they could prepare their outfits

(ex. Halloween, fairy tale, masquerade etc.)

they would like to see who among them
shines on that evening. Then, if there will be
a competition, make sure that it is only a
friendly contest meaning, prizes are just
for fun. With that way, they will not feel any
pressure and will just surely enjoy the night
you set for them.
4. DISTRIBUTE THE TICKETS. To ensure that you
will meet the target numbers of participants
for your ballroom night, distribute the tickets
and collect as early as possible their reservation fee. This way, they will be obliged to
attend, although they will surely do since
you did the first to third steps. Make sure
that you do not forget to get their reservation or registration fee, because that will be
your circulation fund for your activity.
5. CHOOSE YOUR DANCING SHOES. So finally, when all are set, do not forget to invite dance instructors for they will be the
lead in the dancefloor, so when you have
the best dance instructors around, fits your
shoes and go to the party!

Tips in ORGANZING ZUMBA!

Well this is actually easier than preparing the
ballroom session, unlike the ballroom, there
are less things that you consider in this fitness
activity.
1. INVITE YOUR PRO ZUMBA INSTRUCTOR. It
would be better to hire a professional
zumba instructor because they know what
they are doing, the know the proper number of PROPER execution should be done. If
it is impossible for your budget, well get
someone from your team to attend a seminar before pushing it! Because Zumba is not
just about dancing all throughout Well,
those who had their formal session would
know what I mean.
2. SET THE DATE. Now, set the daily schedule,
make sure that you set it after the hours of
work but not later after dinner. Because,

your costumer would not want to miss dinner with their family, and they would not
also want to be in a hurry after their supper.
Make sure to start on time, remember the
golden rule Time is Gold.
3. WHERE TO GO? Same with the ballroom
session, a venue or a studio should also be
considered. In here you might need also a
spacious dance floor, because, as long as
there is a space, you can accommodate
more costumers. Then, on your ads, make
sure that you place the map on how to get
to your studio.
4. REMIX THE MUSIC. Danceable songs are
now everywhere on the internet, you just
have to be updated on the latest trends.
Remember that the music that you use also
attracts your costumers. From time to time
you have to do remix or mashing-up songs
so that they wont get mono mood when
hearing the music you played since you
started your Zumba sessions.
5. HOW MUCH? Well, some will be charging
a full session fee with registration in a month,
but you can also do a fee per session. If you
will be charging them a long-term session,
make sure that you clarify to them what
does their payment covers, other benefits
and etc., so you also need to clear your
policies that if they will not attend on the
date will it be consumable, refundable or is
it only on a fixed date payment basis.

Reality shows are now mushrooming in the television from the different
parts of the world. Endemol pioneered
most of the reality programs that we are
witnessing in the national television. We
cant deny the facts that this programs
left lessons from their every activities,
challenges and experiences that we saw
in the television. In every pain they gain,
we sometimes feel the same, in every
success they achieve,
our happiness sometimes are much more
intense compared to
their real teammates
in the game. We are
very much fascinated
in what will they do
whenever the tasks,
activities or challenges
provokes them until
limits are reached as
human beings. But in
the end they fill up
their cups for the les-

sons
learned
after experiencing such challenge.
On the other
hand,
beauty
contest are also
the trend in
every place in
the
country.
Most of the time
school, barangays or even in the public
or private establishments. An avenue
for showcasing the talents, beauty and
personality of the candidates, the manner on how they
carry themselves
with their fashionable attire , and of
course the Q & A
portion
which
measures the IQ
of the candidates
to determine the
winner.
In the province of
Occidental
Mindoro, particularly
in the Municipality
of San Jose, pag-

eants are the most popular competition among its people. It cannot be
only seen among kids and teenagers
but as well as with gays, oldies and
goodies, but from all walks of life.
However, although the candidates
who joined may learned from the
activity such as boosting selfconfidence, manner of walking in
stage, exposing their talents and
skills, but, the fact that the competition were held most of the time a
month before or even a week before,
wherein those who joined were just
able to set their foot on stage only
during the general rehearsal and on
the proper time of competition, thus,
it can be inferred that the time allotted for their trainings or even exposures are not really enough in honing
their capabilities as a persons.
Hence, the A&N Events Unlimited in cooperation with the Badons
Diner came up with an activity that
best suits to be producing not only a
Grand winner by a text votes, not
only a beauty queen for one night,
but a person who came out of his/
her box, a new and a better version
of oneself. Through the programs of
Badons Icon Development Academy
(BIDA), it
is
now
the time
for
the
youth of
Mindoro
to
become
bida in
his/her
own way,
by overcoming
all
the

challenges set by the Academicians of BIDA.

BIDA will serve as an avenue in honing the
chosen scholars from the audition set by the
BIDA Registrar. There will be assigned Gurus
in various field of the development-core programs.
Every week, the BIDA will prepare a
crash-course that will mold the Scholars in
every core aspects of youth development.
They will undergo with the supervision of the
assigned Gurus for that particular week.
Then, to evaluate their performances, Scholars will showcase the skills they acquired
through a recital, which will be presented in
the Gala Night of the month. On the Gala
Night, after the showdown, Gurus will reveal
the Topnotches, and as well as the Scholars
in the Bottom list. The scholars who sank in
the bottom will be presented to the public,
and then they will have the chance to be
saved through text votes, plus they can be
saved by achieving the Top on the next challenge prior to the Expulsion Night. However,
every month there will be scholars who will
be expelled and can no longer proceed to the
next succeeding challenges. Number of
scholars that will be eliminated monthly depends on the decision of the BIDA Admins.
On the last month of the challenge, there will
only be 6 Scholars left, among the 6 scholars
the 1st BIDA Grand Winner, 1st runner-up and
2nd runner-up...

Well, this cutie pratty really deserves a seat in the Top Notch 5
of the BIDA, because although
he is a good dancer and as
much as the audience and the
judges love him when he does
his clad on the floor, he never
did perform without a clear and
stunning concept.
As a rival his co-BIDA scholars
would define him as

Dane said so in my interview
with her, and she insisted that
maybe if votes will not be
counted from the audience and
those who buy points outside it
should be the cutie pratty that
will be the TOP on this Talent
Camp Competition.
One, thing that made me feel

that Jhade has really a passion

in becoming one of the top

one of his performances to the
persons with disabilities or PWD.
He said that he is really inspired
by the fact that despite the
PWDs are lacking with some
physical aspects this is not a reason to give up Instead this
should be the start of working in
achieving your dreams... your
ambitions.
And I quote as Jhade said on
the questions that what did you
learn in this competition? He answered Dont just wish and

definitely succeed and in no
doubt, you will gain what you

So this loving daughter from

A line in a TV advertisement says

when a caterpillar becomes a

best thing to describe this
beauty queen from Mangarin,
Because, she may be able to

Ian explained to us.
Well, as for me, this situation
adds flavor and spice to the setting of the competition in the
BIDA this will make them experience on how to adjust,
learn, relearn and unlearn behaviors among their peers while
they are on the Talent Camp.
Aside from that, this is actually
happening in the real scenario
in our daily lives, so by letting
them experience they learn
from it.
So, when Arold was asked if how
will he manage to be in to the
Top 5 he said What I truly
learned in my stay in BIDA is in
everything that we do, whether
its a contest or for real life
Give everything you got and let

Trade Shows and Consumer Fairs

are essential to business growth.
These events are great opportunities to meet new customers and
suppliers and to understand consumers' needs. Nevertheless, organizing such fairs can be very
complicated and tricky, especially if
you do not have much experience
in this field.
In the past few years I have organized fairs in America, Europe and
Asia. All fairs are different and
must be handled accordingly.
Some fairs are very organized and
provide you with very clear guidelines that you only need to follow.
Others are absolutely messy and
force you to always run after the
information. Some will provide you
with efficient service and low response time while others will simply ignore your requests.
Fair after fair I have improved the
way I was handling the organization and developed documents and
templates that helped me gaining
efficiency and saving precious
time.
The key to success is very simple:
organization. In this article I will
share with you my experience as
well as some key documents you

must dress your booth with the

Your list of furniture should at

tables and chairs - convenient

displays and shelves - you
must display your products
correctly
Beside those basics, you might
also want to rent extra furniture

by the fair organizer and check
what could make your booth
more efficient.Your booth represents your brand and must
carry your corporate identity or
your brand image.
Therefore, you will need to decorate it. Based on your habits and
style, you might use some simple
posters, decorate walls with
foamboards, use textile based
walls, etc. The important is that
you define early the technic you
would like to use so that you can
estimate the cost and start developing the design.

RATIONALE
Part of the roles and duties of the State Universities and Colleges (SUC) is to promote
awareness on Gender and Development, as
a mandate from the National Economic and
Development Authority (NEDA) supported by
the National Commission on the Role of Filipino Women.
Presently, the efforts of the SUC to raise the
communitys awareness with regards to the
concepts of GAD were really overwhelming.
Health workers, community leaders, employees, even the indigenous people were
reached-out for them to be knowledgeable
on the perspective of the GAD.
But, as time flies the new generation has
started to enter the tertiary education, the
stage of life where the youth are preparing for
their future professional works in this fastchanging world.
At present, the HRM Department acknowledges the rights and capabilities of the students, therefore, allowing them to have an

organization on their field, such as the Chef

Society Club, and Flair Club. In this organization, it serves as an avenue for them to develop their leadership skills, and personality
which they may use in the industry when they
will be applying for work.
With this, it is also the perfect time to influence
the students in their advocacy to include the
GAD perspective, so that, as early as these
days, they can embrace the main principle of
GAD, and will carry it wherever they might be
working in the field that they will choose to
fulfil their dreams and ambitions.
Now, it is suggested that the student-leaders
should undergone a Gender-Sensitivity Training for them to fully understand, be equipped
and knowledgeable in this matter. This will be
achieved by conducting a 3-day activity to
capacitate the students, with the help of the
GAD experts in the Academe.
OBJECTIVES
This three-day activity aims to achieve the following specific objectives;
To share the Vision and Mission of the Research, Development and Extension of
Occidental Mindoro among the participants.
To raise the student-leaders awareness on
Gender and Development;
To train the student-leaders on becoming
a Gender-Oriented Leaders;
To eliminate discrimination among men
and women with regards to their workload as leaders in the school
To build camaraderie among the participants

1990s has made the phenomenon a significant aspect of popular culture in Japan and some other
parts of Asia and in the Western world. Cosplay
events are common features offan conventions and
there are also dedicated conventions and local and
international competitions, as well as social networks, websites and other forms of media centered
on cosplay activities. Cosplayers obtain their apparel
through many different methods. Manufacturers produce and sell packaged outfits for use in cosplay,
with varying levels of quality. These costumes are
often sold online, but also can be purchased from
dealers at conventions. Japanese manufacturers of
cosplay costumes reported a profit of 35 billion yen
in 2008. A number of individuals also work on commission, creating custom costumes, props, or wigs
designed and fitted to the individual. Other cosplayers, who prefer to create their own costumes, still
provide a market for individual elements, and various
raw materials, such as unstyled wigs, hair dye, cloth
and sewing notions, liquid latex, body paint, costume
jewelry, and prop weapons.

as textiles, sculpture, face paint, fiberglass, fashion

design, woodworking, and other uses of materials in
the effort to render the look and texture of a costume
accurately. Cosplayers often wear wigs in conjunction with their outfit to further improve the resemblance to the character. This is especially necessary
for anime and manga or video-game characters who
often have unnaturally coloured and uniquely styled
hair. Simpler outfits may be compensated for their
lack of complexity by paying attention to material
choice and overall high quality. To look more like the
characters they are portraying, cosplayers might
also engage in various forms of body modification.
Cosplayers may opt to change their skin color utilizing bleach or make-up to more simulate the race of
the character they are adopting. Contact lenses that
match the color of their characters' eyes are a common form of this, especially in the case of characters
with particularly unique eyes as part of their trademark look. Contact lenses that make the pupil look
enlarged to visually echo the large eyes of anime
and manga characters are also used.

itself to dramatic interpretation may be taken up as a

switched.
