this article is to show how coloring books have helped adults relieve stress. 3. The article
is about differnt colors can reflect how youre feeling. And how coloring in the lines
leads you to focus on one thing only therefore dispersing stress. 4. This article is aimed
towards stressed adults, however it can be applied to anyone who is stressed, adolescents
included. 5. This relates to my paper because it talks about certain colors and patterns that
are used in ceramics as well as coloring. 6. No special features. 7. This article only talks
about coloring on paper instead of coloring on any other surface.
1. Bitonte, Robert A., and Marisa De Santo. "Art therapy: an underutilized, yet effective tool."
Mental Illness 6.1 (2014). 2. This article is about the underlying benefits of art therapy
that are either, never explored or completely grazed over. 3. The article talks about early
uses of art therapy and how far its come from 1942. It also mentions specific cases where
it has helped traumatic brain injuries, schizophrenia, epilepsy, and acute stress disorder.
4. This article is aimed at psychologists and the general public. 5. This article heavily
relates to what Im doing because it talks about art therapy being used to treat stress, one
of the main components of art therapy happens to be ceramics. 6. No special features. 7.
The author does not know the reasons for art therapy to be underutilized therefore some
credibility is lost.

processes of art expression in therapy." Art Therapy 21.3 (2004): 125-135. 2. The main
idea of this article is to show the relationship between art and brain functions, showing
how art improves brain activity.3. This article talks about art and what kind of effects it
can have on people who are in therapy. It also touches on brain functions and which parts
of the brain are activated during art therapy. 4. This article is aimed at art psychology
students and people generally interested in the inner workings of the mind. 5. The
relevance to my paper is that it shows what art, not specifically ceramics, does to the
brain. 6. This website also includes a journal about art therapy. 7. This article shows a
bias towards drawing and painting instead of 3-D art.
