Procedure
Step 1: Installing the Defender Software
1. Open the attached file Defender Desktop Token Installer.exe to start the installation
wizard:
2. Push the Next icon. The following agreement page will appear.
4. Next click Finish. This will save the program onto your C-Drive of your computer.
Select Browse
Browse to where the token file is located, select it and click Open
The storage location should be changed. Check Another folder and Browse to My
Documents\RAS Token, ensure that Make this token the default token box is ticked
and click Next.
Note: a user may choose another location.
Enter a Passphrase that can be classed as STRONG, this will be confirmed by the
Strength meter. Then click Next.
IMPORTANT NOTE: You may choose the Passphrase same as your Window
Password, but please be aware that your Password will require change on regular
basis on 30/60 days intervals, however your Defender Paraphrase will need to stay
the same. SO, you should choose this carefully.
IMPORTANT NOTE: If you forget your Defender Paraphrase, the service desk will NOT
be able to reset your paraphrase for you. You will need to have a brand new defender
token created, and will have to start the Defender Desktop Token Setup process over
again. SO again, please choose your paraphrase carefully.
The default Token Name can be used, but if there is a possibility that you will have further
tokens, it would be better to rename it to something meaningful. Click Next
Click Finish
