Past studies revealed that teachers ofspecial education integration

program (PPKI) for learning disability students were having
problems in controlling the sexual behavior of the students. Therefore
this study was conducted to determine the knowledge, skills and
attitude of PP KI teachers on sexuality education. This survey study
used a set of questionnairesfor data collection. The respondents 11-'ere
634 PPKl teachers from primary schools across Malaysia including
Sabah and Sarawak. These teachers were teaching students with
learning disabilities such as Down Syndrome, Autism, Attention
Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Cerebral Palsy and others.
Data were analyzed by using SPSS 20.0 statistical software. A total
of83.0% PPKI teachers in this study received training in special
education, but many of them (87.-1%) never attended any training
about sexuality education. The findings show that most of these
teachers have moderate level ofknowledge and skills on sexuality
education. Most of the teachers had a moderate level of knowledge
on sexuality and had high level of knowledge. The findings also show
that more than half of the respondents possessed skills in sexuality
education at moderate level (55.6%) followed by 32.5% of high
level and only 11.9% at the low level. However the data for attitude
about sexuality education indicates that the majority (97.8%) of
the respondents had a positive attitude toward sexuality education
for students with learning disabilities in primary school. This study
shows that levels of knowledge and skills of teachers on sexuality
education were moderate. The findings indicate that the training
emphasis on content knowledge and teaching skills on sexuality
education needs to be improved.
