The Site Supervisor will be responsible for the preparation of work permit (Consolidated Permit to Work). The surveyor will be responsible for checking of all permanent bench marks located near the areas of works given by QP/RLC, Provide temporary bench mark along the area of work based on permanent bench, set out and fix a stakes as reference point for every structures to be constructed on roadwork, The Safety Officer is responsible to inspect the site condition, induction of all new workers, conduct tool box meeting, and. regular inspection on site to ensure that safety Is implemented. Preparation of Survey 6.1 6.2 63 6.4 The project manager will verify and ensure that the drawing provided by the designer which will be given to surveyor are approved and .of the latest revision. A method of statement (Standard Operating Procedure) has to be prepared and to be submitted to QP/RLC for approval. This method of statement has to be approved and to be implemented for the whole duration of the project. The value of coordinate and elevation of permanent benchmark shall be obtained from QP/RLC. This permanent benchmark will be verified and close check to each other. Any discrepancy on the value after crossed checked have to be brought to the attention of the QP representative without delay. Accurate temporary benchmark has to be prepared based on Permanent benchmark. This temporary benchmark shall be properly embedded in concrete indicating the co-ordinate & levels. Temporary benchmark shall be established at least every 300m interval or as per the instruction of QP Representative. Document No. [ContractNo. | Page [Rev. | 0 [ea 2378-1-19-0001 | 6cosi14800 | 5of8 | Date: 16/05/2009 Tie: Method Statement forthe Setting Out Survey ~ Road Works 6.5 In case of existing roads which are to be rehabilitated or reconstructed, approved as built drawings for the works shall be obtained from QP/RLC. All existing services which will be abandoned or to be protected will be check based on this as-built drawing. 6.6 The surveyor shall be responsible for arranging the equipments, tools, tackles, and other materials requires for survey works. Survey equipment such as theodolite with distomat and leveling instrument has to be calibrated prior to use. 7.0 Procedures Setting out WA TAL 7A3 714 TAS 716 With reference to RLC permanent benchmark, the centerline of Proposed road has to be set out on site. The setting out road centerline has to be identifying using stakes made up of wood or steel. All the horizontal and vertical curves along the alignment have to be set out too and marked using stakes. Stakes shall be installed at 25m intervals or depend on instruction of QP representative and should be located exactly on center of the road. Additional stakes on both side of the road located on the top of embankment or in limit of works have to be fixed. The chainage and the required level of the road written on wooden board will be fixed on the upper portion of the stakes. ‘These stakes should be inspected regularly and resurveyed as required. For construction of misc. structures road crossing ducts, foundation for streetlight & traffic signal, manhole for telecommunication, and kerb works, stakes shall be fixed at least 1 meter offset from the end or the corner of proposed longitudinal point.
