Standard 1: Instructional Planning and Delivery

a. Goal 1 Teach a well-organized and clear lessons building for prior student

Goal 3 Design lessons that meet the needs of all students adjusting techniques when

Goal 5 Promote complex higher order thinking; while facilitating class discussion
and activities that provide opportunities for deeper learning
Goal 6 Consistently check for understanding, giving feedback, and making lesson

Standard 2: Knowledge of Students and Student Learning


a. Goal 1 Demonstrate that all students have the potential to
achieve at high levels and support all students in their pursuit
of social-emotional learning and academic success
b. Goal 2 Use student background information to engage students in learning

to student learning and social-emotional development
Standard 3: Content Knowledge and Expertise
a. Goal 1 Understand the major concepts, key themes, multiple perspectives,
assumptions, processes of review, structure, and real-world applications of
student grade-level and subject area concept
b. Goal 2 Design and execute quality lessons that are consistent with the concepts of student
specific discipline, that are aligned to state standards and demonstrate student concept
expertise
c. Goal 3 Demonstrate content-specific pedagogy that meets the needs of diverse learners,
utilizing engaging instructional materials to connect prior student knowledge to new
learning
Standard 4: Learning Environment
a. Goal 1 Create a mutually respectful, collaborative, and safe
environment of learners by using knowledge of students
development and backgrounds
b. Goal 2 Organize my classroom in a safe and accessible manner that maximizes learning

classroom management; including clear expectations for student behavior

interactions and being open to constructive feedback from peers and administrators.
