The very Hungry Caterpillar is a very artistic type of
book, it has a really detailed and patterned look to
it which gives of a water colour look which is very
art like.

Layout of text and images:

The layout of the text and images is very traditional
book style, the image fills the whole page and the text is placed over the
image layer.

Fonts and text per page:

The fonts are very basic, the type of fonts like Cambria (Body) that are
very traditional and very easy to read. The text is minimal on each page of
the hungry caterpillar and the whole page isnt taken up by text, it is
minimal and directly to the point.

The Tiger Who Came to Tea

Visual style:
The Tiger Who Came to Tea has a very hand drawn
look to it, it is very minimal but at the same time
manages to add a lot of additional detail in a
negligible manner. The look of this book is very
traditional style and holds a lot of old school looks,
which is something that is unique about the book.

Layout of text and images:

Again like the visual style of this book the layout is also very traditional
looking, the page is almost a direct cut of half image and half text, the
image almost floats above the text and gives a really well-ventilated feel
to the book.

Fonts and text per page:

The fonts of this book are really basic and have a very traditional
childrens look to them, the text is spaced to give a really easy flow for the
reader. The text appears like it is a lot as it is a big size but at the same
time there is not that much text there it is just that the font is a lot bigger.

Were going on a Bear Hunt

Visual style:
The visual style of this book is mixed between black
&white and colour sketch looking images. The images are
very soft and delicate looking. They are very effortless
and pastel toned giving them a really soft touch.

Layout of text and images:

The layout of the pages are very simple and they are a
repetitive layout on each of the pages which keeps the book sinuous the
background is white and then there is an image that is always off centre
on the page and then the text is then in a paragraph style to the side of
the image on the same page.

Fonts and text per page:

The font is a really clear font that is easy to read, all of the letters are
formatted correctly and the font is very child friendly. There is on average
4 lines per page, each line is a few words long- so there is not much text
per page; but it is a large font and is spaced out
