Inventious Construction Sdn Bhd is committed to ensure the safety, health and welfare
of all workers including employees and sub- contractor while at work. The workers
right is guaranteed from the company that they are safe from injuries and risks to
health, and company will accept that employee health, safety and welfare are
primarily the responsibility of the management.
According to the OSHA 1994 section 15-19, employers are responsible to
ensure the safety, health and welfare at work of all his employees and visitors. A fine
not exceeding RM50, 000 or imprisonment not exceeding 2 year or both will become
a penalty for non-compliance. The important of this policy is to ensure a safe and
healthy work environment, and avoid tragic and costly accidents. Furthermore, this
policy is also providing and maintains work environment with adequate welfare
facilities for all the workers. In addition, OSHA may also protect co-workers, family
members, employers, customers and many others who might be affected by the
workplace environment. Moreover, the welfare of the workers is also protected by
promoting an occupational environment at work which is adapted to their
physiological and psychological needs.
Besides that, all employers have duties under the Health and Safety in
Employment Act 1992 to take all practicable steps to ensure the safety of employees
at work, and other people in the workplace. Since the company provides provision of
information, instruction, training and supervision and provide and maintain workplace
or access routes to and from work areas, employees must also take all practicable
steps to ensure their safety and other people in the workplace. Moreover, the company
also provides the green card seminar to all the employees who work in the sites in
order to ensure their safety while at sites. Insurance is also provided for the employees
so that if any injury or accidents happened during the working time or not, the
employees will get an opportunity to claim the compensation. It is important so that
the employees welfare is still protected. Good health, safety and welfare management
practices encourage better staff performance and increased productivity and
efficiency.
