Indicator UP 1 provides one-digit indication and operates with drive position resistive sensors. Indicators
UP 2x, UP 3x provide two-digit indication and operate with OLTC drive units c/w contact, resistive, current, encoding or contactless rate-of-turn sensors (subject to an indicator variant).
Indicators UP 22, UP 25-Bl, UP 31-Bl and UP 32-Bl allow presetting steps for OLTC position blocking.
Once a drive reaches a blocked step the red LED turns on at the control panel, and the RP25 relay actuating signal is
fed to UP 22 output terminals to block a drive units operation.
All indicators (except for UP 1) can be factory set to any number of drive positions (up to 99). UP 1 indicator is always set to 9 positions. Indicators UP 23, and UP 25 can be connected to any drive units equipped with resistive sensors (for example, MZ-2, MZ-4, ED-S, MR). Number of steps and resistance between the steps can be
changed to comply with specific Customer requirements.
Indicators UP 31 and UP 32 are designed for operation with the drives complete with synchro transmitter.
These indicators are directly connected to standard synchro transmitter of BD404/BD1404 drives.

OLTC Position Indicators

All position indicators have a digital output for OLTC position transfer via RS-232 and/or RS-485 interface,
using the MODBUS-ASCII or MODBUS-RU protocol, with the speed up to 115200 Bod. Indicators UP 23, UP 25,
UP 31, UP 32, UP 41 can also be equipped with additional analog output 0-5 mA, 0-20 mA or 4-20 mA (current
loop).

- lead-wire compensation option
- step-by-step calibration of live fixed-position transformer.

Multifunctional Indicator UP 25
Multifunctional indicator UP 25 has been jointly developed with Federal Grid Company of United Power
System of Russia (FSK EES). The indicator comprises the functions of all the indicators mentioned above.
Our devices can be connected to the following OLTC drive step sensors:
- resistive sensor..(MZ-2, MZ-4, MR type drives and others)
- synchro transmitter BD404, BD1404..(RNT, PDP type drives and others)
- several synchro transmitters..(MAK-1/49 type drives)
- current sensor..(EM, MR type drives and others)
- digital BCD sensor..(MR, Huamin type drives and others)
- digital Gray code sensor..(MR type drives)
- digital sensor with RS-485 interface.. MZ-4, RNT, PDP type drives and others c/w DP-3/DP-4).
Versatility of UP 25 indicator means that all inputs and outputs are integrated in one device, so that our
Customers do not need to order different modifications and types of indicators. Such a "single-device approach
ensures both indication of transformer step data on the control switchboard and transfer of such data to Process
Control Systems (PCS) and other automated systems. The device can be easily set up for some other sensor type;
even if you change your drive unit it is not necessary to change the indicator. Versatility and availability of different
kinds of outputs allow integrating the device with any PCS.

OLTC Position Indicators-Regulator

OLTC Position Indicator-Regulators

Position indicators-regulators UP 100 and UP 200 are designed to control OLTC electrical drives under
automatic regulation of power transformers transformation ratio. The position indicator-regulator combines functions of voltage regulator and OLTC position indicator. The device can be used at the 35 750 kV substations with
gradually or abruptly varying load.
The device is designed for the panel mounting (overall dimensions are 144x144 mm or 120x120 mm),
which allows to install the device on the switchboard control panels instead of the OLTC drive position indicators
of LKM (Bulgaria), MR, MZ, ED (Germany) types.
Position indicator-regulator is connected to the measurement voltage transformers with nominal secondary
voltage of 100 V and current transformers with nominal secondary current of 5 A or 1 A (depends on make).
This device is designed to control the drives with up to 99 tapping steps.
Indicators UP 100 and UP 200 combine functions of voltage regulator and OLTC position indicator and
consist of two blocks: Indicator and Regulator.
Indicators UP 100 and UP 200 provide:
control of the voltage ratio of power transformer by changing its primary winding taps with the use of
OLTC;
necessary interlocks to disable regulation;
control of command execution by OLTC device;
measurement of OLTC current switching step.
Advantages:
Combination of regulator and indicator functions results into:
o multiple enhancement of reliability of OLTC electrical drive operation control;
o additional adjustment settings, emergency diagnosis settings;
o space saving on the control switchboard.
Indicator-regulator may be connected directly to synchro transmitter; to resistive sensors installed on German, Bulgarian and other drives; to BCD-sensor or Gray-code sensors installed on German, Korean or
Chinese drives, as well as to Russian/foreign sensors with 4..20 mA (0-5 mA, 0-20 mA) output or digital
Modbus output.
The OLTC current tapping step value is displayed on LED indicator with light intensity of 10 000 mCd,
this allows Operator to easily read the data on his/her workstation at any light conditions;
Position indicator-regulator can work together with any drive type operated in Russia.

Additional Service Functions:

built-in calendar and clock;
measurement and display of compensation voltage and current;
storage, viewing on the built-in LCD-indicator and transfer via telecommunication line of the data on last
256 fixed events;

panel). USB-interface and one of the RS485 interfaces are used to control parameters, transfer emergency
data to PC, view and change the preset values, remote change of the OLTC steps. Second RS485 communication channel is used for connection of OLTC position sensor. Program protocol used is MODBUS;
OLTC actual tapping step transfer in analog form for the input to TM and PCS.
