Wall or celling installation If the units to be mounted on a wall or ceiling, be sure to {do s0 only as recommended in the operating instructions, Check the voltage rating of this unit before connecting the unit to a power supply. Outdoor antenna grounding Han outside antenna is connected tothe receiver, be sure the antenna system is grounded so as to provide some protection against voltage surges and built-up static charges. Section 810 of the National Electrical Code, ANSI/NEPA No. 70-1984, provides information with respect to proper grounding of the mast and supporting structure, grounding of the lead-in wire to an antenna discharge unit, sizeof grounding conductors, location of fantenna-discharge unit, connection to grounding electrodes, and requirements for the grounding electrode. See figure below. Power lines When installing an outdoor antenna, install it as far as possible from power lines. If the unit will not be used for a long period of time: Be sure to disconnect the power cord, Never attempt repairs yourself (a)It the power cord or plug is damaged.
