Kings College Womens Soccer aspires to be one of

the best division 3 collegiate womens soccer programs
in the country. Our vision is clear - a winning season,
capture the conference championship, and qualify for
the NCAA championship tournament. Kings College
Womens Soccer aspires to possess only members who
believe that the team is always most important, no one
is greater than the team, and hard, intelligent, and
relentless work is the way to winning. This is our
vision statementyou may ask, how are you doing
with making this vision a reality!?! A brief step back in
time will show our progress
Since the inauguration of womens soccer at Kings
College back in 1993 the program has never
progressed to post-season play. The past 7 years have
shown a drastic renovation not only in the post-season
play statistic but in every statistic the program has

Kings Places Two on

Womens Soccer All-Conference Team
ANNVILLE, PA --- King's College senior Amy Barge and
freshman Danielle Putnam were named to the 2016 All-MAC
Freedom women's soccer team the Middle Atlantic
Conference announced on Thursday.
Barge earns her second all-conference selection after also
being named to the team in her freshman campaign. This
season the midfielder was second on the team with nine points
on a team-leading four goals and one assist. Barge, who took
the majority of set pieces for the Monarchs, scored the gamewinning goal in King's 2-1 victory at Manhattanville on a free
kick from the top of the box. She also scored on a free kick in
King's 5-0 victory at Clarks Summit. She was deadly from
distance as her other goals came from 30 or more yards out.
Putnam earns her first all-conference selection in her first year
after a successful year in which she had nine points on three
goals and three assists. She scored King's first goal of the year
in a 4-0 season-opening victory over Penn College and also
scored the game-winning goal in a 2-1 victory at Eastern. She
also assisted on game-winning goals in a 2-1 victory over
Lycoming. Putnam's speed and skill gave opponents trouble
all year opening up opportunities for her teammates to score
while the defense was focused on her.

What makes Kings College Womens Soccer different

you askhow about the opportunity to be a part of creating
history, of creating a tradition!?! At many collegiate
programs the hard work and tough growing pain years are
already behind them. Being a member of many of these
programs provides you a spot to be a part of an already
established program. You put in your time and efforts and
hopefully you can break into the line-up and make a name
for yourself however the groundwork, the tradition, has
already been laid before your arrival. At Kings College we
are creating history, creating program traditions, and can
offer an opportunity for you to be a very special part of that
creating process. Do you want to make an impact that
remains over the test of time or do you want to be just
another piece to the existing puzzle?
What is our Recruiting Philosophy here at Kings?
Our overall recruiting philosophy is finding student-athletes
that have a passion for the sport of soccer and for Kings
College. There is an athletic component as well, and we
look for potential for the student-athlete to improve at the
next level, but attitude and commitment are far more
important than that to us. Will she be a positive
representation of the soccer program on and off campus? Is
she a team first player or an I first player!?! There are so
many talented players out there, and we truly think the ones
that succeed at the next level have the desire to improve, to
work hard, and to fall in love with the process of becoming
the best that they can be!
Character means everything when you are projecting on
how good someone will be down the road as a college
senior, those with strong character have a tendency to help
improve a program in some way before they graduate. We
want those who are passionate about being an important part
of our program. When we are passionate about our
university/college and our team we have a tendency to go
the extra mile to make sure that we leave a lasting
impression. Passion for achieving greatness makes your
team and organization better!
