Nuclear energy is to generate the electricity and controlling the reaction of a

neutron with a uranium 234. We have to bombarding Uranium atoms with

neutrons and breaking the Uranium apart to release energy. Energy that will be
release, if it will be comparison to fossil fuels is a ton of uranium produces as
much energy as a million ton of coal. Its very important difference because when
were talking abaut waste products for example carbondioxide from the burning
of coal, theres an enourmous amount of carbon dioxide produced from that
million ton of coal where as the waste products from the nuclear energy is smaller.
It will get various products from the uranium fission as barium and zirconium.
The neutron in the reactor activated such as Cobalt 60 or Iron 55.
When the fuel took out of the reactor, it can ce separated into fission products,
neutron activation product, and actinides. Fission products deffer quite a lot in say,
their half life and their radioactivity to the other heavier actinide elements. One of
the advantages of separating the fuel by the processing process is to separate the
fission products which have shorter half lives, typically 30 years for Storontium
90 or Caesium 137 after say, 300 years which will be 10 half lives, the radioactive
load of those materials would be low enough that we whouldnt need to worry
about it too much.
