INTRODUCTION
Background of Problem
Writing is one of the four basic skills
that should be learned by the students in
Senior High School beside speaking,
listening, and reading. This skill is needed
for them to support the progress of their
academic achievement. By writing, the
students will know how to write a good
content into a text about the object that
they want to describe and how to organize
the ideas which are supported with
relevant supporting sentences. In this skill,
the students can improve their grammar
such as how to use correct tenses,

of research a form of research based on
data collected during the
study
systematically the facts and the properties
of the object studied by combining the
relationship between variables involved in
it, then interpreted based on the theories

to provide a fairly clear picture of the
problem under study.
Location and Time of the Research
The research has been completed at
SMAN 12 Pekanbaru on Garuda Sakti
streets Km No. 3, Tampan, Pekanbaru
City during February March 2016.
Subject of the Research
According
Sugiyono
(2012)
population was a generalization which
consisted of objects/ subjects that had
