I will start the lesson by showing children the letter a flashcard. I will ask them what
the sound of this letter is.
I expect from children to say a a a, then I will say lets all together say letter a
sound.
I will use I say, you say technique. I will direct them to say say /a/ to your friends,
say /a/ to celling, say /a/ to floor, say /a/ to book corner.
I will engage them to perform the action of letter a after saying it for them. The action
is ant on an apple a a a
I will move to read a quick story about the ant one day the little ant was walking, she
saw an arrows I will ask children about the color of the arrows. Then, the ant saw an
apple I will ask children what is this. After that the ant saw an ambulance I will ask
children what is this?. Then, the little ant saw anther ant. I will ask them to repeat
each words with me.

I will show them a flashcards of ant, ambulance and apple. I will ask children to say the
words with the sounds when I will show them the card.
Then, I will start to teach them who to write the letter a in lower case. I will use the
board to show them how to form an a using the explanation, go round the apple,
down and flick. I will ask children to come to the board to write the letter.
Ask children to follow the action and sky-write the a.
I will let children blending the word as, I will ask them to say the sounds then I will
sounds together.
- Let each student to go to the right group which depend on their level of learning.
- Give them instructions about activities.
- Observe them.
- Evaluate them by check their answers on the worksheet.
Differentiation and learning centers:

High group's activity: children will have a worksheet that include different pictures with
words, they have to colour the picture that represent the letter a and trace and writing
the letter a.
Medium Group's activity: children will have a worksheet. They will colour the letter a
on the tree picture and practice tracing the letter a.
Low Group's activity: I will provide for children a worksheet that contain different
letters to solve the puzzle. They will color the letter a to make one big a letter.

Once upon a time, there was a clever boy, who called Omar.
Omar always likes to help other people in his village.
In his school, he always helps his friends.
All students are enjoying playing with Omar in the school.
One day, when Omar was coming from the school. He saw a little dog strongly panting
near his home.* the dog looks so tired and weak.
So, Omar decided to help the little dog and he named the dog Puppy
Omar spent Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday
feeding and caring about little Puppy
When Omar felt that Puppy was healed and his body began to grow and become
strong, he let him to go.
Omar was so happy to help the little Puppy.
One evening, before the sunset, Omar decides to go to his fathers farm. In the farm,
there are 6 sheep, 5 cows, 4 chicks, 3 horses, 2 ducks and 1 rabbit.
Suddenly, the sheep ran away from the sheepfold. Whats happen for my sheep?
Omar was shocking.
Omar stopped for a while and he heard a terrifying sound coming from far. Awoooooooooo, A-woooooooooo the sound was like.
All villages families afraid and gathering in front of their windows. They saw a big
wolf!!!
Omar tries to catch sheep and run behind them. Help, help, help my sheep Omar
screamed.
Suddenly, a strong dog appeared. He attracted the wolf and chased him until he went
away from the village.
Omar recognized that the dog was the Puppy. He remembered that he helped him
before.
Omar thanked Puppy by giving him a large piece of meat.
