Name: Vicky Vela Garcia
Topic/Title: Jellyfish art craft
Target Age Group: 4-5 years old
Purpose/Objectives/Outcomes: The purpose of the art craft was to teach the children about sea animals and jellyfish are
one of them. We let the children know that jellyfishes are dangerous animals. The children could see the difference of
both textures of the paint. One paint was glitter paint and the other one was plain.

The students will be able to: finger paint and feel the texture of the paint.

Assessment of student outcomes: The children had fun and they let their classmates know how the paint felt.

Curriculum Expectations/State or National Standards addressed:

STRAND 1: VISUAL ARTS
Concept 1: Creates and Understands Visual Arts
The child uses a wide variety of materials, media, tools, techniques and processes to explore, create and understand art.

Materials/Resources/Technology: Glitter paint, Plain paints, white construction paper, sticker eyes.

Instructional Strategies, Accommodations, and Student activities: N/A

Self-Evaluation/Assessment: I must say, this activity was great because it was art, science and the children learned
plenty about jellyfishes. They also took facts about the jellyfishes.

Skills and student behaviors to be worked on next time: The childrens behavior during and after the art craft was very
well. They got excited to do finger paint and learn about jellyfishes.
