MATERIALS
LION BRAND Lion Boucl
14 (14, 15, 16) balls #202 Lime Blue or color of your choice
Size 11 (8 mm) knitting needles OR SIZE TO OBTAIN GAUGE
One 1" button (JHB #42280 New Orleans Royal Blue AC, shown)
GAUGE
10 sts + 20 rows = 4" (10 cm) in garter st (k every row).
BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE.
NOTE
Instructions include one salvage st each side. These sts are not reflected in final
measurements.
BACK
Cast on 50 (54, 58, 62) sts. Beg garter st, and work four
rows even. Dec 1 st each side on next row and every 6th
row 3 more times 42 (46, 50, 54) sts remain. Continue
even until piece measures 7" from beg, ending after WS
row. Inc 1 st each side on next row and every 6th row 3
more times 50 (54, 58, 62) sts. Continue even until
piece measures 14" from beg, ending after WS row.
Shape Armholes Bind off 4 sts at beg of next two rows
42 (46, 50, 54) sts remain. Continue even until piece
measures 23 (23, 24, 24)" from beg, ending after WS
row. Bind off.

LEFT FRONT
Cast on 25 (27, 29, 31) sts. Beg garter st, and work even for
four rows. Dec 1 st at beg of next row and every 6th row 3
more times 21 (23, 25, 27) sts remain. Continue even until
piece measures 7" from beg, ending after WS row. Inc 1 st at
beg of next row and 6th row 3 more times 25 (27, 29, 31)
sts. Continue even until piece measures 14" from beg, ending
after WS row.
Shape Armhole Bind off 4 sts at beg of next row 21 (23, 25,
27) sts remain. Continue even until piece measures same as
Back to shoulder. Bind off.
RIGHT FRONT
Work same as Left Front until piece measures 5" from beg
for closure at upper hip (or wherever you'd like your jackets
button to be placed), ending after WS row. Next Row (RS) K
2, bind off 2 sts, work to end of row. On next row, cast on 2
sts over bound-off sts. Complete same as Left Front.

SLEEVE
Cast on 30 (30, 32, 32) sts. Beg garter st, and work
even for 6". Inc 1 st each side every 6th row 0 (0, 0,
5) times, every 8th row 2 (8, 10, 6) times, then every
10th row 7 (2, 0, 0) times 48 (50, 52, 54) sts.
Continue even until piece measures 23 (22, 22,
21)" from beg. Bind off
FINISHING
Sew shoulder seams, leaving middle 7 (7, 7, 7)"
open for back of neck. Sew in sleeves. Sew side and
sleeve seams, working lower 3" of sleeve seam on
WS of fabric. Cuff lower 3" of sleeve. Sew button
onto Left Front opposite buttonhole.
