Think

keep it
clean
Leaders Responsibilities
Those who are identified
on bookings as leaders are
responsible for their group.
Leaders should not allow
campers under their care to go
off-site without their permission
or without a specific time at
which to report back. Leaders
should not go off-site without
leaving some other adult
responsible for their group and
should inform the sub-camp
leader of this change. In the
case of an emergency, we need
to be able to contact the leader
as soon as possible.
Ground Rules
1. Please show care and
consideration for everyone
on-site and visiting the
showgrounds.
2. No smoking is allowed
anywhere on the Kings Hall /
Balmoral site.
3. Alcohol must not be brought
into or consumed on-site.
4. No-one who is intoxicated
will be permitted to either enter
the site or remain on the site.
5. Wristbands must be worn at
all times to obtain entrance to
all events.
8. Do not cook inside tents
other than the designated cook
tents.
9. No camp fires or disposable
barbeques to be used on the
grass.
10. No vehicles on-site, except
those required by staff.
11. Valuables left in tents or
cars are left entirely at the
owners risk.
12. Litter must not be left
around the site as this causes
health and safety problems.
13. No pets to be kept on-site.

married).

7. Tents must be at least 3

metres apart and should not
be pitched without permission
from the sub-camp leader.

Emergency?
In case of emergency, please
contact your subcamp leader
or the campsite office. Medical
help is on hand 24 hrs a day. If
you need help just ask at the St.
Johns Ambulance tent or any
member of staff.
PLEASE be quiet at night. It
you want to stay up late, please
respect those who are trying
to sleep. Remember that noise
carries across the campsite at
night. A quiet curfew will be
enforced in the camping area
from 1:30am onwards.
Event Crew
Famous the world over the
Summer Madness Event Crew
are here to make your stay
enjoyable and safe. They work
long hours to make your camp
a trouble-free experience, so
go on, give them a smile and let
them know they are appreci-
ated.
Lost Wrist Bands
If you lose your wristband the
cost of a replacement is 5.00.
These will only be replaced if
verified by your leader (in per-
son) and if ID is presented.
No crossing into any area that
has been marked out-of-bounds
by red and white tape (this will
constitute trespassing,
punishable by law).
Summer Madness wishes to
make it clear that it does not
favour sectarian propaganda
or proselytizing within the
Christian fellowship and anyone

involved in these practices will
be escorted off-site. This means
that any group or individual
which uses the SM Festival and
its facilities for such purposes
does so against the spirit of the
event.
The organisers reserve the right
to cancel any booking (be it
that of any individual or group)
that they deem necessary and
escort all concerned parties off
the premises if these ground
rules are not observed.

Reggie Dabbs
From being a Problem to
an unwed teenager, Reggie is
fast becoming one of the most
in-demand speakers who helps
teenagers meet their problems
head-on and overcome them.
Two years ago, Reggie came
from Ft. Myers, Florida to
Belfast for the first time and hes
made the same journey again
for SM2010! Be ready to be
challenged by Reggies stories
and remember that while you
can never change your past, you
can change your future!
Ardagh, he was Rector of St.
Patricks Coleraine and served
the whole diocese of Connor by
being Archdeacon of Dalriada.
He is married to Helen and
they have four daughters and
four grandchildren. Bishop
Ken is a keen sports fan. He
enjoys watching rugby and is a
passionate Manchester United
fan.
Bishop Fanta Clarke
Bishop Ken Fanta Clarke was
elected Bishop of Kilmore,
Elphin and Ardagh by Electoral
College on 13 November, 2000
and was Consecrated in St.
Patricks Cathedral, Armagh
on 25 January, 2001. He has
served in Kilmore and Sligo
throughout his clerical life.
He grew up in Holywood,
County Down and went to the
Sullivan Upper School before
studying Arts at Trinity College,
Dublin. Ordained deacon in
1972, he has served in parishes
in Magheralin, Dundonald
and Dublin and also in South
America. Before becoming
Bishop of Kilmore, Elphin &

Rachel Gardner
Rachel is co-founder and
Creative Director of the Romance
Academy, a relationships-positive
project that builds young peoples
self esteem enhanced by sexual
delay. The very first Romance
Academy was the subject of
the BBC2 documentary No
Sex Please, Were Teenagers.
She trains Youth Workers and
Peer Educators across the UK,
Southern Ireland and Sweden to
run Relationships Programmes in
schools, churches and community
centres. Rachel also runs
Romance Academy projects in
her local area and teaches PSHE
in secondary schools in North
London. She has a passion to
see the church and wider society
build wisdom, self-esteem and
compassion for others into young
peoples lives.
Rachel came to faith as a
young person and after school,
studied at London School of
Theology. She married Jason
(Youth Culture Researcher at the
London Institute of Contemporary
Christianity) in 2001 and has lived
and worked in Harrow, North
London ever since.
Alan Scott
Alan and his wife planted their
Church in 1999 after spending
some years ministering in
Glasgow. They have been
married for nine years and
have two wonderful daughters,
Sophie & Emily Joy, who are
their continual delight.
Their passion is to see lives
increasingly transformed and
the multiplication of missional
communities throughout the
whole of Ireland. As well as
leading the church, Kathryn
works as a songwriter and
regularly leads worship
at different national and
international events.

Krish Kandiah
Before his appointment as
Executive Director: Churches in
Mission for the UK Evangelical
Alliance, Dr Krish Kandiah
was the Director of the Oxford
Centre for Christian Apologetics
and also Tutor in Mission and
Evangelism at Wycliffe Hall.
He was also a member of the
Oxford University Theology
faculty. He has worked
with students in the UK with
Universities and Colleges
Christian Fellowship, and in
Albania with the International
Fellowship of Evangelical
Students, before becoming
pastor of a multi-cultural church
in Harrow.
Krish is passionate about
helping the church relate
relevantly and faithfully to
contemporary culture and
about global, multi-cultural and
church-based mission and he is
looking forward to being part of
Summer Madness 2010.

debut album in January, the
Rend boys and girls have
been rather busy touring
around Europe and making
worship videos on iPhones.
Formed in 2004, theyve
been writing and crafting
songs that break the mould
of Christian worship music.
Ben
Cantelon
Life is moving fast for Ben: just
married and now living in London,
where he has joined the Worship
Central team at Holy Trinity,
Brompton. Four years ago he was
based in Vancouver, Canada where
his father is pastor of Christian
Life Assembly Church, and whose
grandfather was the first Canadian
televangelist, Don Cantelon.
Theyve been quoted as
saying, we released our
debut album and it is good!
Fortunately, theyre right and
while Bangor to Belfast isnt
the longest or most exotic
journey theyve made this
year, were proud to have
them leading us in Mainstage
worship at SM10.

We believe that God blesses
all who call on Him, and we
also realise that sometimes
theres a need for prayer
about something that God has
brought to your mind, with
someone who will pray and
seek Gods guidance with you:
those someones make up
PT 10. Spiritual superheroes
with everything sorted we are
not we are simply open to
being used by God in prayer
for His glory and for your
benefit. After all, God is not
in the business of harm, but
of help; not of blame, but of
blessing. So, why not take a
step of reconciliation between
yourself and God?
PT 10 will be at the front after
every Mainstage Worship
session. We will also be
available at the 24/5 prayer
venue during the afternoons.
We can be recognised by
our ID badges & wonderful
yellow t-shirts - accept no
substitutes. We will not
pressure you, preach at
you, or do weird stuff: your

prayer for is all we ask. We

SM 2010
Welcome to the heart of
the madness! Hope youre
settling in well and making
yourself at home... If youre
staying on-site for all or part
of the weekend please enjoy
living at the hub of the entire
festival. The Subcamps will
become your second home
this weekend.
They provide a place for you to eat,
sleep (I hope!), socialise with old
friends and new and generally chill
out. All-in-all theyre an exciting
place to be. While youre getting
yourselves sorted out, keep an eye
out for a few friendly faces kicking

Brian Houston
Born on the east side of Belfast
and growing up in the seventies,
Brian Houstons musical influences
range from old time gospel tunes
to late-night paternal indoctrination
through bootlegged Hank Williams
reel-to-reels. Bob Harris has been
quick to pick up on Brians illusive
catalogue of pathos and melodic
dexterity, referring to him after
a recent gig as the very, very
excellent Brian Houston. After
countless tours in the UK, Europe
and the USA, Brian is a highly
sought after and seasoned veteran
of the touring circuit. With a well-
established fanbase both at home
and abroad, were honoured to
have Brian play at ReHab this year.
Nathan Jess
Nathans
captivating
performances
and his well
considered
and gripping
songwriting
are causing
many to sit up and listen. From an
early age, finding the old forgotten
guitar underneath his parents
bed unknowingly gave birth to an
intense desire to connect with this
beautiful sounding piece of wood.
A number of years on and Nathan
continues to pursue his longing
to be a relevant songwriter and
worship leader of this generation.
The first fruits of that come in the
form of his debut album O Rescued
Ones.
Gareth Dunlop
Gareth was born and raised in East
Belfast, on a healthy diet of Bob
Dylan and Led Zeppelin. He started
playing music on a one-stringed
guitar, before finally convincing his
dad to buy
him another
with the full
compliment
of strings
for his 14th
birthday. His
eclectic vibe
is a result of
being in and
out of many bands, playing many
varied styles of music, and having
extensive experience from years
of gigging around NI and further
abroad. Gareth joins the ReHab
lineup for 2010, with his full band
on Sunday evening.
Maguire and I
John Maguire was an old man
who lived just down the road from
where I grew up. Everyone knew
him as Maguire. He was the kind
of old man who carved stuff out of
wood and ate wild berries that he
would pluck from the hedgerows.
But who are these young minstrels
trying to fool? Maguire & I arent
old and they dont like wild berries.
They do however play delectable
tunes, gracing the stage with an
alternative country air, hand in hand
with a timeless charm that even old
man Maguire would be proud of.

Joe Fisher
Born as
one of ten
children in
a northern
England
family, Joe
quickly
developed
a knack for being quick, witty and
slightly loud! Over the course of
his youthful days, his talents soon
moved out beyond the family
homestead, and after a string of
appearances on TV Ads, comedy
performances at the Royal Albert
Hall and hosting massive concerts
for BBC Children in Need, 2004
gave Joe the opportunity to host
the Olympic Parade in Trafalgar
Square, which saw him working for
a full hour unscripted with a crowd
of over 30,000 people . Since then
Joe has gone on to tour extensively
as a stand up comedian, present
on TV for JML and host more huge
events for Sport relief, Tour De
France and the BBC.
Steve Price
Steve Price is a professional
magician and associate of the
Inner Magic Circle. A full-time
illusionist, he describes himself
as professionally crazy and uses
a blend of magic, comedy and
mayhem to amaze and entertain
audiences, both on stage and
with his mesmerising close-up
performances.

in 2004 (when the band got signed

The core-band is made up of
four sibling brothers: Deji , TJ,
Vidal and Daniel who combined

Experiment
What can you say about Rend
Collective Experiment? Well, quite
a lot, so it happens. Theres a lot
of chat about this new worship
group from Northern Ireland,
and whenever you tune in to
the buzz there are some pretty
familiar words that keep on
appearing: fresh, inspirational,
mindblowingly-good. Rend
Collective Experiment defies
expectations even from the
start of the bio. Not so much a
band, more a bunch of friends
collectively wondering how to
make sense of the conundrum
of life, God and community in
and around their native Bangor,
Northern Ireland. And what a
sound. Take the honesty of Elbow
or The Flaming Lips, the surges of
Sigur Ros, and the creative power
of Sufjan Stevens and you have
some idea of the landscape. But its
not the whole picture. What Rend
Collective Experiments fifteen
plus members add to the sound
are lyrics that are both scriptural
and contemporary, fresh and

After taking America by storm, and
becoming the biggest selling debut
act in the US last year, Belfast band
Bluetree are returning to Summer
Madness. Bluetrees debut album,
God Of This City, topped the US
Christian charts for four weeks last
