ABSTRACT

Trowulan Region which is the former site of the relics of the Majapahit Kingdom
has several temples that can be visited, but not all of the temple have good access for
entrance and parking area. When some tourist visit the Trowulan sites by bus especially
big bus, they can not visit all the temples. Because the access is very narrow so the
bus can not go there. For example two of tourism object in Jogjakarta, there are tourism
destination called Pindul Cave and Mount Merapi which we use a special vehicle that
had been prepared to enjoy the tour. The local people manage for that special vehicle
especially they use the local community called Karang Taruna and they create Tour
Operator from Karang Taruna. That situation will be apply in the area of Trowulan Sites.
Because there are families with poor living with the number 445 from 456 families. So
when the local people manage that, we hope they improve economy. Although the
special vehicle managed by local people but it is still under the control by Government
Tourism Office.
Tour Operator will be manage the special tourism vehicle and they must create
Tour Package also. The control from local operator have benefit to help the problem
about social welfare. By doing observation, the writer can analyze about strengthness,
weakness, opportunity and threat and also the theory that support the idea. The
combination from local people and government will be help the local people to get the
benefit from tourism.
