Innovation and change generally and simply is about changing things


and innovate in order to develop the old ideas into something benefits
people. Therefore to be a successful and a good leader, you have to explore
in things that you dont expect. Leaders should be specialized in dealing with
the innovation and changes issues and problems that caused from the
changes.
In this course, Ive learnt that innovation and changes have a positive
and a negative impact. Moreover, I learnt that the change leader
characterized by several things, such as moral purpose, understanding
change, relationship building, have the knowledge of creation and sharing,
coherence making. In addition, there are several types of leadership and
management models, and each one is characterized on something. One of
them is called Bureaucratic which is the most formal one, which is standing
on specific standards. The other one is the Collegial Style model. It is a style
that depends on the discussions to make decisions. The last two are the
transformational model and the transactional leadership. Transformational
model is about doing things to attract others and inspire them, even if it was
beyond their works and requirements. On the other hand, the last model is
the transactional model focus on the basics of the management process.
In addition, I did an interview with my principal during my teaching
practice, which allowed me to find out and search about the type of my
principal. That helped me in exploring about the different models and to
know the differences between them. Moreover, it allowed me to distinguish
between them. Furthermore, it opened my eyes on how do schools in my
country managed.
This course had benefit me in changing my thoughts about the
managements, their types, and their role in the sectors. And the learning still
going on, Im still learning about it and doing some readings. Although, we
still have a presentation which is about comprehension between three
principal and their type. On occasion of that, this presentation will help us in
developing our knowledge, by sharing and discussing. Because, it is as a
group work.
There are some changes are ongoing. Such as the curriculum. Its
already changed, but theyre working in developing and changing it to a
better curriculum that suits the students needs and meet it. And because of
the changing, there are issues that faces the principal and the other
stakeholders. Which the principals have to face it and solve it. And that will
show the good model and manner of a good principal.

In my opinion, based on my readings. I prefer the collegial model,


because that model did inspired me. Which is standing on discussion-making
and collaborative things. Moreover, they are very flexible and friendly.
