REPORT TEXT

Dolphins
For many years people have believed that the cleverest animals after man were the
chimpanzees. Now, however, there is a proof that dolphins may be cleverer than these big apes.
Although a dolphin lives in the sea, it is not a fish. It is a mammal. It is like a human
being.
Dolphins have a simple language. They are able to talk to one another. It may be possible
for man to loearn how to talk to dolphins. But it will not be easy because dolphins cannot hear the
kind of sounds that man can make. If a man wants to talk to dolphins, he will have to make a
third language which both he and the dolphins can understand.
Dolphins are also very friendly toward man. They often follow ships. There are stories

Jellyfish are not really fish. They are invertebrate animals. This means that unlike fish or
people, they have no backbones. In fact, they have no bones at all. Jellyfish have stomachs and
mouths, but no heads. They have nervous systems for sensing the world around them, but no
brains. They are made almost entirely of water, which is why you can look through them.
Some jellyfish can glow in darkness by making their own light. The light is made by a
chemical reaction inside the jellyfish. Scientists believe jellyfish can glow for several reasons.
For example, they may glow to scare away predators or to attract animals they like to eat.
Most jellyfish live in salt water, apart from a few types that live in fresh water. Jellyfish
are found in oceans and seas all over the world. They live in warm, tropical seas and in icy waters
