SAFETY CONSIDERATIONS (address physical, emotional and social enviorment):


Students will have to stand as a class in the instant activity and may need to be reminded to stay in their own
personal space. Remind students to take turns placing items in hula hoops and also to not throw objects into
hoops.

MODIFICATIONS/ACCOMODATIONS:
Students who cannot stand to complete the instant activity will be assisted by the teacher
Students who cannot pour seed carefully into bottles or tie knots correctly during the bird feeder activity will
be assisted by the teacher.

Students will revisit instant activity to move items into different hula
hoops after gaining a better understanding of reducing, reusing, and
recycling and reflect on ways they can use the items in the hoops
