Distinguishing real and fake news

Unless they disagree with our general

proclivities and biases,

Before inaccurate views enter zeitgeist and

lexicon.

We will silo ourselves in virtual echo

chambers,

The unification Carl Sagan envisioned

First predicted as Orwellian tele-screens

And that was when we only had ABC, BBC,
CBS, NBC and a few UHF stations

Has given platform to a demagogue,

Empowered racist nationalists,
And frightened people of color

Now we have thousands of vapid options

and music stations,

A white homeland cannot be attained

Amazon, Hulu, Netflix, Roku and Sling TV

And bloodshed

Our synaptic brain activity at a crawl when

watching

Despite our attest of intelligence

Paralleled likely by the zombie apocalypse of

social media updating
I really dont want to see another photo or
video

Without a considerable amount of violence

We listen to the horned and pitchforked

fallen angels whisper frightened nightmares
On xenophobic shoulders,
And forever answer

Of what youre eating

The question

I will repent of the same inane empty

gesture

Why SETI heavens are silent:
