Tribute to Great Kautilya (Vishnugupta, Chanakya)

The great laureate of economics Kautilya or Chanakya 350-275 B.C., provided a detailed guidance on resources
and their management.
He had sought to persuade the king to exercise knowledge and wisdom to rule his subjects instead of depending
solely on military might. The king refused. To prove that physical force was the most effective, he had Kautilya
thrown out of the kingdom, and he enquired from the gated walls What can your knowledge do for you now?
After taking an oath not to tie his hair until he proved that knowledge was the stronger force, Kautilya harnessed
his energies and drove it towards developing his knowledge to its fullest potential. He fulfilled his vows by
educating one of his disciples in these disciplines, who then overthrew the king and installed a reign rooted in
knowledge.
By writing Arathashastra, Nitishastra and Chanakyaniti, he has become a legend. Club Kautilya pays tribute to this
