1) Understand and explain the significance of the Rangoli in Indian culture
2) Understand and explain symmetry
3) Observe how some materials work with one another
PROCEDURE
Introduction
Teacher will introduce new art project to students and show demo, and field
questions, as well as present instructions
Body
Student
Students will be given a piece of blank paper to practice on.
Students want their designs to be round or square, with symmetrical
Rough Copy
designs.
Good copy
Once students are pleased with their rough copy they can begin a
good copy with pastel on sandpaper.
Closure
Teacher will have students clean up and prepare for recess
