What are ethics?

Ethics are moral principles that a

person has that governs their
decisions. They are well founded
standards of what is right or
wrong. Ethical standards are
something that promotes
honesty, compassion, loyalty,
liberty and the right to life;
however, theyre also there to
refrain people from raping,
stealing, killing, and etc. Ethics
also refers to the development
of a persons ethical standards.
Ethical standards have to be
constantly reviewed to ensure
that they are reasonable.

My personal
ethics
My own ethics consist of doing
what I think is right, trying my
hardest, and doing what will
make me happy regardless of
what others think.

Ethics of Medical
Aesthetics
The demand for aesthetic
surgery has grown due to the
media and popularity. Many
people of this age believe that
surgery could fix their social or
relationship issues. People have
become obsessed with a certain

image and will do anything to

get and maintain it, however,
deep-rooted insecurities may be
another reason as to why
aesthetic surgery has become a
fad.

Autonomy: Patience have the

right to undergo a surgery, but
have to be well informed about
the risks. The patiences wishes

also have to be fulfilled to the

best of the surgeons ability as
long as its possible. The surgeon
must go over the patience
expectations to make sure they
are realistic. Finally, the surgeon
also must review the probable
benefits of having the surgery,
the non-surgical options, and the
anesthesia.

Beneficence: This principle is

here to have medical
practitioners act in the patients
best interest. Because people
experience real pain, socialhandicaps, or suffering from selfconfidence issues.
Non-Maleficence: This is a
principle that will assure that the
surgeons wont do something
that will harm the patient. It
makes sure that the surgeon
doesnt operate on someone
who has unrealistic expectations
or health issues because both
could harm the benefits of
having the surgery.

Justice: This principle just insures

that everyone has an
opportunity to have medical
care.

My Ethics of
Medical
Aesthetics
I believe:
Clients should be well aware
of all risks

Clients should understand the

real expectations of the
surgeries outcome
People should be able to get a
surgery that changes their
physical features simply
because they want it.
Aesthetic surgery should be
promoted in a serious way
People should not look to
aesthetic surgery to fix
problems in their lives
