in the life of the school and feel welcomed, valued, and connected to each other, to
school staff, and to what students are learning and doing in class.

Materials:
Copy Paper
English/Spanish welcome letters

Objective:
Welcoming families back to school and setting a standard for communication
between teachers and families.

Procedure:

Print the welcome letter front to back English/Spanish.

Sign your name under the salutation on both English and Spanish copies.
Send this home the first day/week of school.
This resource can be paired with the Beginning of the Year Survey and/or a
supply list if applicable.

Assessment:
Maintain a copy of the letter for parent communication log and document date of
when the letter was sent home.

Differentiation:

English and Spanish communication for Spanish speaking parents.

Welcome back to the New School year!

Dear Families,
Welcome back to a new school year of learning,
growing, and achieving! This year is an opportunity for
students to show off their talents, set goals for success,
and make growth that they are proud of! I am looking
forward to working with your family and your child as we
strive to meet our goals.
I believe that communication is the key to success! My
goal is to have a great teacher-family relationship to
provide support and to work together collaboratively.
Please contact me any time with questions, concerns, or
feedback that you have. I send home weekly
communication folders on Thursdays, and these will be
returned to the classroom on Fridays. There is a
communication log to write a note to the teacher. I will
respond by Tuesday of the following week.
I am very excited about this years journey in education
with your child and family!

Bienvenido al nuevo ao escolar!

Estimadas familias,
Bienvenidas al nuevo ao escolar de aprendizaje,
crecimiento, y logros! Este ao es una oportunidad para que
los estudiantes puedan mostrar sus talentos, establecer
metas para el xito, y hacer el crecimiento del que puedan
estar orgullosos. Yo espero con inters trabajar con su
familia y su hijo/a para logran nuestras metas.
Yo creo que la comunicacin es la clave para el xito!
Mi meta es para tener una gran relacin de maestra-familia
para proveer apoyo y trabajar juntos con colaboracin. Por
favor me contacta contcteme en cualquier momento con
preguntas, preocupaciones, o realimentacin. Yo envo
carpetas de comunicacin semanal cada jueves y estas
capetas regresan al aula los viernes. Hay un registro de
comunicaciones para escribir una nota a los maestros. Yo
responder los martes de la prxima semana.
Estoy muy emocionada por nuestra aventura en la
educacin con su hijo/a y familia!
