Your excellency, Board of Rectors of Quy Nhon Vocational Training College

Distinguished Delegates,
My name is Phan Van Thao- Lecturer of Electrical Department- Quy
Nhon Vocational Training College.
On the behalf of Electrical Department, we warmly welcome to the
teachers and students of IRPCT College from Thailand to visit and work at our
college according to the programme: Exchange for the teachers and students on
Teaching learning experience and Cooperation.
To begin with, we would like to introduce briefly about the Electrical
Department of Quy Nhon Vocational Training College.
1. Overall introduction:
The department was founded on 20th August 1962 firstly called Electrical
section. In 2002, the Electrical section was given a new name as the Electrical
Department and has currently developed.
At present, the Electrical Department includes three main sections: Industrial
electricity, Mechatronics, and Operating and Repairing refrigeration equipment
with three training qualifications: higher- level, middle-level, and primary level.
Besides, the department regularly organises to provide further training and
award professional training certificates for individuals, organizations, and
businesses need.
In addition, our college has associated with Vinh University of Technology and
Education to inter-train to tertiary education in Electrical and Electronic
Engineering.
The number of the Electrical department students is over one thousand students.
2. Organizational Structure:

Teaching staff has 21 lecturers including 6 lecturers with Masters degree, and 15
lecturers with bachelor degree. The staff has assigned into 4 main subjects:

3. Facilities:
Our department consists of 4 practical factories, 8 specialized rooms, and 6
theorical learning rooms.
These practical factories and specialized rooms have fully equipped with
modern, comprehensive teaching equipment in order to ensure students
practical demand.
We would like to introduce 3 main professions which are now training at our
department:
* Industrial Electricity

Apart from learning time, the students participate in social activities
which held by Youth organization such as: camping, blood donation, and
volunteer activities and so on.
4. Achievements:
In recent years, the Electrical Department has gained some success with
considerable effort:
- Participating in vocational teaching competitions, teaching equipment
competitions at all level from college, provincial level to national level and
winning high award.
- 10 lecturers have Labour and Creativeness Certificates of Vienam General
Confederation of Labour.
- Students take part in national skills competitions and win high award. In 2006,
students of Mechatronics field won 3rd prize of national skills competition.
- The Electrical Department has gained advanced unit certificates from chairman
of Binh Dinh peoples committee for many years.

- The youth organization of department always wins the award of Youth

Organization.
- The graduated students have their job which accounts for 90 percent.
