Objective of the course/ Learning Outcomes: On completion of this course you should have gained
a good understanding of the basic concepts, principles and techniques of data mining.
Learning Outcomes:
After completion of this course student will be able to:
Specifically, you should be able to: Define knowledge discovery and data mining; Recognize the key
areas and issues in data mining;
Apply the techniques of clustering, classification, association finding, feature selection and
visualization to real world data; Determine whether a real world problem has a data mining solution;
Apply evaluation metrics to select data mining techniques

Pre-requisite(s): Data Base System, Relational Data Base System
