Give a brief description of the technology/resource.
Jing allows anyone to capture images and video from anywhere on the internet so that they can explicitly show
videos or picture examples to their audience.

INTEGRATION/IMPLEMENTATION IDEA - SCREENCASTING


How might you use this resource to promote student learning? Describe who will be doing the screencasting you or
your students, and what purpose it will serve.
I feel like screencasting would be a phenomenal tool for communicating direct examples and instruction to students
as well as their parents. Students could also use this tool if they were given a task in which they were assigned a
topic to teach to their peers.

Explain your rating based on the indicators on the rubric.

If Jing is used by the teacher to communicate a lesson or instructions to their students or their students parents, I
would rate this tool as a 1 since it is primarily a demonstration tool to be used by the teacher.
If it was used by a student to teach their peers, I would rate it a 2 or a 3 depending on the task. This tool can be
combined with the upper tiers of Blooms and depending on student independence on the task, this could be an
invaluable resource.
