Getting Ready
Hello All!
I am so excited that you are in my class this year! We are going to have so much
fun. In order to have all this fun orderly, we will have to establish to some classroom
rules. We are going to work together as a team to create the classroom rules along with
your parents and guardians on the first day of school. I already have some basic rules
established, but these rules that we create together will make us all accountable for our
actions. Along with these rules we will establish consequences together.
On the first day of school, we talked about the rules and procedures in the
classroom. We also talked about centers and jobs that each child we be able to participate
in. I will also tell you about my reward system and how you can win candy!
I am so excited to have your child in my class this year! I would like to have a
meeting with all the parents and guardians to talk about what will be happening in my
class this year and what will be expected of your child. Along with that, I want to talk to
all the parents and guardians to see what classroom rules you all would think would be
best for your child. Today, the students and I talked about good rules for the classroom.
This way we can all work together to agree on the classroom rules and everyone is
accountable.
If you have any questions please let me know. If you ever want to meet about
your childs progress I will let you know my available times at the meeting. I will also
ask for your contact information. I will send out a newsletter once a week. If you are

(Teacher will write rules on Giant Paper on an easel. Then, the teacher will type up the
