PROJECT: CSR/HYPOTHETICAL’S WORKBENCH DEVELOPMENT FOR SCUDDER

DESCRIPTION: Manulife Financial is a provider of financial protection and wealth
management products, including life insurance, pensions, annuities, group benefits,
retirement plans, and death benefit plans, etc. Scudder (merged comp.) also will
provide the same types of services as the Manulife national and NY divisions will
provide. There are mainly 3 tiers (BSL/BDO/BDA) for this ASP/XML/VB application.
Only the BSL (outer layer) components will check the role based security using
COM+ services. Each member will be added to the specified groups of Windows
Active Directory to check the security. Reports have been created using Crystal
reports and making it to .pdf format to store and print those reports. Used third
party tools to create Acrobat (.PDF) file.

My primary field of work in the middle-tire development was Coding, Modifying, and
Testing of .Net Components. Adding new functionalities to the middle-tier
Components and make it work properly after the testing with the proper security
role check on component level.

involved substantial discussions and coordination with the actuarial team and risk

DESCRIPTION: The client uploads the jobs in different formats like Word, Extractable
or non extractable PDF, Excel and JPEG. These are downloaded and converted to Ms-
Word format using Fine Reader or Jasc. Then these are coded to make XML and
HTML pages using X-Mark. WinBws is used to edit the HTML and XML pages. Upload
the XML and HTML pages back to client.
