Objective
To obtain a position as an Elementary School Teacher that will provide opportunities to meet
children's educational needs and make a difference in their lives.
Skills
I am proficient in Microsoft word, PowerPoint, and GeoGebra. GeoGebra is a math tool, that is used
for geometry and algebra skills. I am organized and can collaborate well with others. Throughout the
years, I have been dealing with three grandparents who have dementia, which has taught me a lot
about patience and I'll be able to utilize this.
Experience

In College
Im in Introduction to education which has enabled me to observe over 20 hours and work
with kindergarten and first graders. I observed at Tioga Elementary School and Mark Delay
School. Also, for this class, I completed a Special Education Project about Gifted Students.
In Math for Elementary School Teachers I and II, I learned about the common core standards
and how they fit into each topic, as well as which grades would be learning about the topic.
These classes expanded my knowledge on problem solving, measurement, geometry, and
other topics.
In a Children's Literature class, I examined and analyzed different types of literature that
children would be exposed to.
I took a child development class which peaked my interest in this major. I created and
researched lesson plans, taught, and observed preschoolers with a group of other students.

I have been a volunteer for pads with my church, to assist in the upkeep of a shelter for the
homeless.
