STATMENT

1. Making Section 498A of India Penal Code Husband or

relative of husband of a woman subjecting her to cruelty
compoundable and bailable.
2. Whether inclusion of a woman who was living with the man
like his wife for a reasonably long period in definition of word
wife under section 125 of Code of criminal procedure.
3. Pregnant women or women with child (below 7 years) should,
instead of being sent to prison, be ordered to be under house
arrest.
4. Forensic Science and modern technology must be used in
investigations right from the commencement of investigation.
5. Giving freedom to court to question the accused to elicit the
relevant information or regarding any circumstance against
him.
6. Answer given by accused could be used for evidence for or
against him and if he refuses to answer, to draw adverse
inference against the accused, would it be fair?
7. Should section 54 of the Evidence Act be substituted by a
provision on the following lines: "In criminal proceeding the
fact that the accused has a bad character is relevant?"
8. Should National Security Commission and the State Security
Commission at the State level should be constituted, as
recommended by the National Police Commission.
9. A law should be enacted for giving protection to the witnesses
and their family members on the lines of the laws in USA and
other countries.
10. Should Working days of Supreme Court be raised to 206 days
and Working days of High Courts be raised to 231 days?
