I have a broad background in the construction industry with the ability to organize and problem
solve. For someone my age I have a good back ground in framing and general construction. My goal is to
eventually get into some sort of managerial role, something that involves designing, organizing or
running job sites.

Comfort Farms

Description
I am a general labourer. As the youngest
guy on the site I was the one to do the
clean up jobs, but I also did a lot of work
with the guys actually building the houses. I
have done framing, roofing, trim work, and
concrete.
I have recently taken up tutoring other
students in construction estimating. We go
through the assignments together and I try
to help them understand the concepts
better. This also improves my
understanding of the material.
I took care of a lot of work around the yard,
did the grass cutting, trimmed the ditch,
cut up some trees, and removed concrete. I
also kept the show room stocked.
This was my first job. I would mix feed and
bag it as the farmer made and sold feed
mixes. I also drove a lot of the equipment
and spent many days in the field doing hay
during the summer.

Education:
I am currently in the first year of a 3-year Construction Engineering Technology program at
Niagara College. I also graduated from Heritage Christian School with honour role in 2016. So far I have
learned how to use AutoCAD. I have also learned how to do the beginning stages of a take off for a
residential house, if given the elevations I can figure out what needs to be cut and what needs to be
filled to get in to the desired elevation, with the swell and compaction factors. I also have learned
residential foundations. I given the required information I can determine what needs to be excavated,
how much material and concrete is needed and the other stuff like gravel, weeping tile etc.
