James 4:11-12

Brothers, do not slander or "speak against" one another. Anyone who "
speaks against his brother or judges him speaks against the law and
judges it. When you judge the law, you're not keeping it, but sitting on
judgment on it. There is only one Lawgiver and Judge, the one who is able
"?to save and destroy. But you who are you to judge your neighbor

justice. Christians are brethren. And to break God's command is to speak

James tells us not to speak evil of one another because by speaking evil of
one another we judge one another. And anytime we judge others we are
stepping over the linewe start playing God. It is not our responsibility to

We should not speak evil, gossip things or judge one another because we
are family and all part of God's kingdom we are brothers although lahi tag
mama but we have the same Father, the same Savior, the same Holy
Spirit, same saved by grace and redeemed by the blood of Jesus Christ.

In fact, speaking evil or judging others is what Satan does. He speaks
against God and His family. According to Revelation, "Satan is the Father
of Lies and accusers of the brothers" he loves to speak evil sa mga anak

There are two kinds of Sons:" Sons of God and Sons of the Devil." If we
speak kindness, truth and justice we are sons of God but if we speak evil
?to our brothers then whose sons are we
Matthew 7:1-5
Do not judge, or you too will be judged. For in the same way you judge
others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be
measured to you. Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your
brothers eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? How can
you say to your brother, Let me take the speck out of your eye, when all
the time there is a plank in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the
plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the

In Galilee while Jesus was teaching in the temple courts the teachers of
the Law and the Pharisees brought in a woman caught in adultery. They
said to him, "Jesus, this woman was caught in the act of adultery. In the
law Moses commanded to stone such woman. Now what do you say? Then

If we speak evil, gossip, judges them without knowing their situations, the
steps there in we are Un-Loving them. God commanded us to Love them
.(Mark 12:31) not to judge them
James tells us that ff we speak evil, gossip, and judge one another we are
breaking God's law (which is to love one another) and the more we judge
.them we are becoming their judge not their friend or brother
The more we judge them the lesser love we give to them. Instead of

James tells us in verse twelve that there is one Lawgiver and Judgeand

Only God has a right to judge. Its part of Gods job, its not our job to
judge. God did not create us to go around and judge people we meet nor
.commanded us to gossip about other people our job is to love them
One of the greatest mistakes all of us have is to generalize people by
just one mistake that they make. If they make a mistake we tend to
slander their whole character. If a guy makes a foolish mistake we
consider him a fool. But this is not necessarily the truth. Maybe he is a
good person who has just made one foolish mistake. Maybe he has just
.slipped and fallen in one time. Maybe he has just made a mistake
How many of you have heard: You cant judge a book by the cover. The

same is true of people. Look beyond the mistake look at the persons
real character and you may be surprised what you find. Stop judging
:others its unchristian its unloving its unjustified. That brings us to

Dont speak destructive things about others. Are you qualified to perfectly judge someone
else? (James 4:11-12).
Dont be quick to condemn someone elses actions. God is patient, but He doesnt overlook
anyones disobedience, especially yours (Romans 2:1-5

If a believer sees another believer sinning, he is instructed to confront the person in a respectful
and loving way. Matthew 18:15-17 says, If your brother or sister sins, go and point out their fault,
just between the two of you. If they listen to you, you have won them over. But if they will not
listen, take one or two others along, so that every matter may be established by the testimony of
two or three witnesses. If they still refuse to listen, tell it to the church; and if they refuse to listen
.even to the church, treat them as you would a pagan or a tax collector
The ultimate goal of confronting the person is to bring repentance. In this sense, we are called to
.judge sinalways with the goal of repentance and reconciliation
Preach the Word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage
with great patience and careful instruction (2 Timothy 4:2). God commands believers to point out
the truth in hopeand with Christ-like compassionbringing repentance and restoration to the
.sinner (James 5:20)
As Christians, with all our imperfections and failures, God chose to see us as holy and blameless
.(Ephesians 1:4). God also gives us a choice
