I am pleased to recommend Mr. Muhammad Mazhar Saleem for PhD at your institute. He has been my student in
the subjects related to Structural Engineering at undergraduate and graduate levels. He has exceptional academic
performance in all the subjects. He is known to me as one of the best student of his session. Apart from his
exceptional academic performance at Department Of Civil Engineering he holds many marked qualities which will
help him to succeed in his graduate studies at your institution.
I found in him keen desire to learn and master engineering concepts. He took effective participation in class
discussions and attended the lectures regularly. His assignments were also well prepared and submitted on time. He
has firm grip on structural analysis and design concepts. His performance in theory part as well as in laboratory
work was excellent. In addition to his strong concepts of structural analysis I found that he possesses excellent
knowledge and concepts of entire coursework of Civil Engineering particularly in the field of structures. He
possesses good ability of analyzing the problem, figuring out concerned parameters and working out the solution.
Mazhar is a creative student who has great affinity for learning new things and critical reasoning abilities. I
especially noticed his quality of reading number of reference books, searching through the internet for additional
information and his keen observation of practical issues and problems.
Apart from his exceptional academic performance I found Mazhar as a disciplined and tolerant student who has
good communication skills both verbal and non verbal. His quality of respecting the opinion of his seniors, batch
fellows and juniors has earned him respect among others. He is known as a friendly and helpful fellow.
His work on individual assignments and task has been excellent. In addition to this, his work as a group member and
group leader has been remarkable. He showed professional behavior. He showed great tendency of improving his
short comings and improving his work which has resulted in increase in his skills and performance.
He has a strong desire to pursue graduate studies so that he may further polish and master Structure Engineering
concepts through strong course and research work which will help him to excel in professional life. Keeping in view
